Line had a severe lack of showing at this years trade show....whats the deal yo? are they totally screwed?
 
did you totally miss out on all the news of line not going to the trade shows that was on here in the fall. and have you not seen the million threads about next years shit?

the fact that it is a complete rip off to rent a booth for the show might ba a factor.

much better to get your bizness done by other means.

do you know how much the burton booth costs every year? (its the largest both by the way)

up around $125,000 per day
 
line is touring around the country promoting their shit instead of paying out the ass to go to a trade show "because that is what the ski industry is supposed to do"
 
i've see nmore stuff on line skis than any other company and they weren't even in the trade show. probably because im not as interested in the other companies as line
 
actually those "gay" bindings are very ingenious now if they could only make them lighter and more durable
 
Yea but the trick is spending the money on the right things...

and the binding is a sick idea the real problem is strength and durabilty...weight really isnt an issue on them at least not for me. Same thing with the 1260s they were jst ahead of their time now everyone is making an absolute park specific ski...

In a few years everyone will be making bindings similar to the reactor!
 
the bindings did spend a lot of their budget and yes they did drop their team but a few.. but also.. wilson and others left them on their own terms.

Line took a chance with the bindings and it didnt really work.. they will probably revamp it and release a newer lighter model.

atleast its not as expensive as the 4frnt binding.

gay bindings? they are the only company that had the balls to try something new. ive broke p12s and s912s at least once a year so what is the difference between those and line? Line replaces their shit, without question, on the spot.

pollards ginormous skis are worth every penny, I ride em.

the elizaveth is one of the best skis evermade, how can ui say they waste money on it?same with the sir francis bacons, there a big ski but it will be one of the nicest skis evermade, think about how many they will sell, its a perfect ski for anything except eastcoast ice, in fact if i can come up with the money i wil buy a pair

BTW, line IS at the private tradeshow in the midwest this week.....but only people who actually know what they are talking about understand that.

line bindings arent being made anymore, period. (unconfirmed rumor is the design is up for sale).
 
They schould still be made......those bindings are the future.......the design is awsome..... i don't really give a shit about the weight of it all.
 
but if their stuff was stronger and lighter the nthe word would get out resulting in more sales resulting in getting out of debt:)
 
weight isnt the main problem. the toe and heel piece adjustments come loose, move, and cause loose binders. Line has stepped up and tried what no other company had the guts to do, and they are standing behind all of their shit.

Just cuz it wasnt perfect the first time around doesnt mean they are tryin harder than any other company to help YOU. this is what is wrong with our sport, its full of rich whiney white bitches who dont have to think cuz their mommys and daddys do it for them, FUCK YOU.

yea, or i could buy a binding that will save my knees, but fall apart after a year, weigh more than bhill, and not be replaced since its discontinued.
 
they are being replaced until stock runs out, after that you get a full refund or credit towards skis.

Now, Yes I broke my reactors last week. I got an instant FULL REFUND.

Yes, last season I broke both p12's and s912's.....and they WERE NOT REPLACED.

But all you fucks are right, things should stay just the way they are, screw innovation and risk taking. In fact, why dont we all go back to straight skis?
 
oakley spent over 2 million dollar just on thier booth and its asthetics. also dude i know all about the show and costs and blah blah blah...but everyone goes to the show if you not thier you are just NOT....hahahaha

no no i wasnt saying that line hurts skiing or anything like that, i was saying that random hate threads such as this one are garbage and should be deleted, nothing wrong with liking companys and defending them ect. but when the thread turns into a random bitchfest than it should be gotten rid of

Line seems to be doing fine as far as progression and economics are concerned. Maybe the bindings did cause some debt but all of you people talk like they are on the brink of bankruptcy. You all are ignorant fucks who do this, speculation such as this is what caused the great depression on a much broader stage... Learn the facts then speak.
 
well im not ignorant i just heard rumours at the show that LINE went under seeing as they wernt there. i wanted a pair of prophets fer JAPAN but they werent their so i couldnt swindle any.....
