Any one have the '09 models, how do you like them? I am gonna be picking up a pair next weekend and just wanted to see what ns thought of them. ++k

Im 5'11" 145 lbs and I am an aggressive skier. Been skiing for 18 years. what do you think would be better 176cm or 181cm? I am used to a shorter ski and was wondering if 181 would feel too big because of that

at 5'11'' i'd say 181 would be a good choice. keep in mind lines tend to run shorter than what they are listed as.

chronics are really good skis man. i have a pair of the 04/05 chonics and i loved em. there my rail skis now and theyr still holdin strong. the chronics are one of line's most durable skis.

oh and if you ski mostly park, id go wit the 170's

if you ski more all mountain, trees, occasional BC, id go with the 181's

get em bro, you WONT be dissapointed.

i'm 5'11"/185 and i have the 181's. with your weight, you're kind of right on the line as far as which size to get. if you're a little more on the aggressive side, get the longer skis. if you're a little more timid, you may be happier with the 176 model. either way, you'll be stoked. these skis kill it for park and groomed snow all mountain. you won't be disappointed.

to spotter, dont go below 176. i would go 181 if i were you...they are an amazing ski, soooooooo much fun and versatile.
to ^ if they are your park ski, then you cant go wrong with a center mount. i had mine at +1 from center and i thought they were the best thing in the world. if you are going to take them out of the park at all i would put them at -1 or where ever rec mount is.

yeah i saw that but i was just generalizing because there were a few people asking about mounting them in this thread.

Thanks to everyone that gave some feedback ++k

I am gonna be getting them in 181 and mounting em at -2cm true center

What a good binding for the chronics? Any ideas on a good light binding? Marker Griffon 12's?

im 5'1-" 140 and i have the 181's center mounted. super sick ski. do not get the 170 like someone said above, way too small and they would be very unstable. i can rip the groomers on them and they are the best ski for rails/boxes that i have ridden, better than my invaders. good choice

I have mine mounted at -6 from true center since I tend to ski all over the mountain, not just in the park.

i could sell you a rossi scratch 120 binding with the pivot heel. this would be a great binding for you, they arent too heavy, a lot cheaper than griffons and the only reason im selling them is because im too big to use them, i weigh about 200 lb so im on the scratch 140 pivot. shoot me a pm if you are interested.

other bindings that would be fine are:

marker griffons

sth 12

any rossi look axial/px series binding with 12 din (some people find these heavy though)

fks 120(heavier but great binding)

rossi world cup(again heavier, but great binding)

rossi scratch/look p12 jibs

their are lots of options in bindings

jesters are a great binding, i would suggest them over griffons because of durability, but you said you wanted lighter shit. but if you are also looking at jesters, get them instead of griffons
