Line Chronics or Scott P3's???

Yo so im just wondering which would be a better park specific ski for the pricetag. I want a stiffer ski than the Invader and right now am leaning to the chronics because of LINE but wallisch and Oscar Harlaut have proved that the P3's are pretty sick too...

this exactly what scott wanted when they picked up tom.... i have never used p3's but ive demoed the chronics. the p3s do look pretty sick this year. i like the chronic. it skiid fast and did amazing in the pow. it was a pow day so i didnt take it to the park.

Go with the Chronics, I know 2 people personally who have broken their P3s in less than a month. One was an edge pull out...with no cracks, the other person had a sidewall blow out and edge explosion. They both said they were fun, but they clearly aren't very durable. Were as Chronics are some of the most durable skis I've ever seen, they're super sick.

It skis in the pow like any other stiff park ski..

And I personally didn't like them at all mounted anywhere ahead of -5 of true, and at -6(reco.) they skied and carved pretty well, but I only cared about park performance, and since I like my park skis mounted at about -2 I didn't keep them. If you would mount back and use them for a do it all ski at a resort with mostly hard conditions they would do good at that.

Somebody who owned P3s that I let try my Chronics(I was on my other skis so didn't try the P3s) last year said he liked his P3s way more, and they seem to have pretty good reviews.

As far as normal sidecut normal camber park skis, my favorite so far has been Pipe Cleaners, which carve and ski switch better than any other park ski I've used (mounted at -2.5).

hey thats me!

super fun ski, but not all that durable. if you can afford to replace them like 3 times a year, id say go for it. btw, this was about 30 days of park skiing on them. got them used a season but the guy before me never used them in the park.

fuck scott, just ask the on3p guys about them....

besides chronics are bomb proof and kill it everywhere. i've used mine in all types of terrain and they are absolutely sick. perfect park/all mt ski.

Thanks everyone for the advice!. Yeah personally i was leaning toward the chronics because of the durability factor and after seeing those messed up P3's i feel pretty sure about the chronics. Not to mention i trust LINE. But if i do get one of these it will be 2011 model so lets hope scott has fixed the edge problem...

ive personally never ridden the p3's but i own 09 chronics and i loveee them ha. i'm more 60% mountain 40% park ( if im in pa, more like 80% mountain if im up north) theyre stiffer which took one or two laps to get used to but once i was accustomed i didnt regret my choice at allll. They're very nice when it comes to stomping jumps and ride smoothly. The only complaint i have with my chronics is that my top sheets chipping a bit. its all cosmetic though and if you take a xacto to it it seems to fix it pretty decently. if ya got any questions about the chronics feel free to pm me, ill be happy to answer what i know.

k thanks for the help. Yeah i think top sheet chipping is a problem with all line skis(my invaders included) but it reslly isnt a big deal to me.. Yeah the chronics are sick

i personally cannot speak for the scotts. HOWEVER, i currently own the Line Chronic at 181 cm. The very first day i had them out, on a down flat down rail i blew out the edge, my edge looked exactly like the scotts above. now remember this was on the FIRST DAY i had them out.

just keep that in mind.

LINE is the shit, and they make quality stuff. But in my second year on P3's they are still going super strong. So, I think whatever you pick you'll be stoked on.
