I just made my descision to purchase my first twin tips, the Line Chronics 09/10. I was wondering if anyone has been skiing a pair this season and has an opinion, tips, suggestions, etc on them.
There stiff but not too stiff, great on rails, jumps...pretty much everything but pow. Oh but dont expect em to look new for long... if you ride hard youll see the topsheet chips pretty easy. Oh and id mount at -2 from center, upto you tho.
if you are planning on using them more as an all-mtn ski, I would lean more towards the chronic cryptonite. They still have great park performance, but that extra width goes a long way for more technical stuff and doesn't do to shabby in pow if you ask me.
Now, this is gonna sound retarded, but since I care a lot about what skis LOOK like (trust me, performance is important, but...), is there any way to repair the top sheet at all? can it be sanded down or something? Also, what steps can I take to keep my skis in good condition?---I ask all of this because these are the first skis I have bought with my own money, and that I care about a lot THANKS!
The easiest way to keep your skis looking fresh is to make sure you don't bang them together on the lift, that's were most of the top sheet chipping takes place.
only real good park ski line makes in my opinion. I for one am going to buy 2 pairs of the 09/10 model at the end of the season because they are discontinuing it next year. Such a dumb move by line.
