LINE Chronic vs. Stepup vs. Afterbang vs. Traveling Circus/Anthem

I was riding the Stepup for the last two seasons and i think it's a great ski.

But now i was wondering if another ski would be a better fit for me.

I ski mainly park and got a second pair to ski powder, so it doesn't have to be very versatile.

I weigh 185lbs and i'm 6'1 that's why i got the Stepup last time and not the Afterbang (i thought i'm too heavy for the Afterbang, but i might been wrong).

I ski mostly rails/boxes and when i hit a kicker from time to time, it won't be bigger than 20-30ft.

So which of those skis would you recommend?

Tc or chronic, the other two are out of the equation period. I would advise the chronic, it's awesome this year

I've had 3 pairs of Chronics and just bought my 4th. I have loved them all and the pair I just got are last years with the 85 waist still. From my experience Chronics are the way to go.

If I had to pick any ski from Line, the only two skis I'd consider are the Chronic and the Blend (unless I was looking for a power/big mountain ski).

The reasoning behind this is simple...sidewalls. I don't like cap skis, they're floppy and if they break they take the edges with them, and the skate deck skis are great for what they were designed to do...go from drop-in to rail to landing...skiing down the hill (i.e. turning) is not their strong suit.

Chronic without a question i demo them this year and they were sick and the new ones are even lighter

Chronic - non-symmetric all mountain freestyle

Stepup- symmetric, fast, stiff for park big air

Afterbang- symmetric, jibby, softer and built to be beat up

TC Ski - symmetric, wider platform with butter zones and carbon for pop.

all have fatty base and edge (it's bigger) for durability. thanks!

this years chronic is cap wall so cap but sidewall ONLY underfoot. thin tip and tail, rocker, 92 in the waist so it feels really stable. It's just an all around awesome ski, one of the better skis line makes. If I was going to ski 3 skis from line, it would be a Chronic, Sir Francis Bacon and and Opus. Those are there best skis. BUY THE CHRONIC

why?

even though it won't change my mind. for me it's an affiliation thing and i never had issues with durability.

And that line skis answers your threads just speaks for itself.

I would get the Chronic or Stepup because they have a sintered base. From my experience extruded bases suck

The TC also has the Sintered base. Sorry to thread jack but I am also torn between the Chronic and the TC. I am 6'2",155 and ski 80%park 20%all mtn. Split 50/50 with jumps and bibs. I'm just a little worried about the durability of the TC with the cap construction. But I see that the Chronic only has sidewall underfoot? Which ski do you think I would like more?
