Line Chronic sizing help +k

6'0'' 178lb's 65/35 rails/jumps (jumps anywhere from 20-50ft) stuck between the 178 and the 185

any help appreciated +k fo da good stuff

Personally, I would go with the longer pair. On jumps, length can help with stability on takeoff and during landing. If you are growing, that is also a bonus. It's never good to be stuck with too short a ski.

Saying that, based on your height(182cm) I again would recommend the 185.

It again all boils down to how you like your skis. Do you tend to like to spin faster?

like robotdna said you should probably get the 185cm as they'll do a little better on big jumps. personally I like a ski which is either the same height as I am or a little longer.

plus the early rise may cause them to ski slightly shorter, so 185 would be the better choice unless you really prefer shorter skis.

I ride 176 Step Ups (6'1") and they work great for me... They're certainly not too short and they hold up great on big jumps, plenty stable. But, if I were you I'd go for the bigger pair because if I had the option to take 185's when I bought mine I probably would have

Oh yeah, rocker/early rise REALLY shortens the ski. I have a pair of 191 Billy Goats, but the effective edge is only like 140cm.

bump, with same question for a smaller person

I'm 5'10", but weigh only 110 (skinny motherfucker). Should I go for 178's which are just taller then me or play it safe with the 171's because of my weight?

It depends on how aggressive you ski. On a scale of 1-1000, how would you rate yourself, general skiing ability, NOT park skiing ability(because they are completely different)?

probably around 750- 800. I'll ski anything on the east coast, I ski moguls and trees frequently and quite fast, and I don't let shitty conditions (Ice, dirt) stop me. I tend to be somewhat conservative around drops, but that's about it.

I'm kind of thinking I might go with the 171, purely because tree lines around here can get pretty cramped.

I would deffinately go with the 185. Your pretty tall, and these have earlyrise, so I think the 178 wouldn't really be enough ski. Your gonna get a little more stability and control out of the 185.

Well, I would have suggested the longer length, but personally skiing on a hill with unmanaged glades I know how bitchy that can get. So go for the 171.

Same question. 5'7, 130lbs (~170cm ~60kg) Should I get 171 or 178? I will ski mostly rails and pretty small jumps. Sometimes bigger jumps too. The park where I mainly ride is pretty small so I would like to jib/butter on stuff. Should I get 171 or 178?

If you are quite a strong skier and/or can grow more I would do the 178.

If you are just good, I might stick with the 171. I personally ski on a shorter pair of park skis(168) just because I like the style of a shorter park ski. People go either. On the other hand, I have longer powder skis, and my race skis differ.

It's all up to personal preference and some skiing level.

Or whatever is cheaper. Hahaha

I'm 5 foot 9 and I ride the 178. I find that because of the early rise it rides like a shorter ski. You should definitely go with the 185.
