LINE CHRONIC REVIEW

Alright, here's a quick little review for everyone who's so super uber way real curious about therelease of nexxt year's mega-ski trendy thing, the Line Chronic.

I got Ohio's( or the entire midwest's ?) demo yesterday, and used it for the first half of my day at Holiday Valley, in New York.

I adjusted the Look rental bindings, and put the skis on. First thing I noticed (even noticed while carrying them) was their weight. they were heavy, but it may have been those monster bindings on them. and the weight was just in comparison to other Line skis, but keep in mind, Line always has like the LIGHTEST skis (ie. Mike Nicks and 1260s) and Line's all I ever ride....so it was just something I noticed.

i was skiing over to the lift, trying nose and tail butter/press things...and they were stiff. Way stiffer than my broken-in Mike Nicks. I hurt my calves a LOT trying tail butters....but, I think they can be 'broken in' possibly?

I skied with them, MUCH more stable (due to the stiffness, I presume) than other Lines. more stable in all ski conditions. I skied the bumps with them a little bit, but mind you i'm 5'6' and these are the 177's and they were fairly hard for me to maneuver.

Great skis for carving, seemed to hold a nice edge switch.

I threw some 180's and the like with them, just messing around on the 35 foot or whatever tables, and they were definitely a wider ski to land on.

All in all, definitely something I could (and would need to) get used to.

questions, class?

I have never ridden Line skis, and never will, nobody sells them in Finaland,so I'm entitled to my opinion: they suck because they aren't here.

hey brody, have you seen any of the other stuff? im swapin my Tms for lines next year and im thinkin the Mike Nicks or Skogans, and im dyin to see how they flex.

Lets go skiing

damnit man, I wanted to hear that they were like super sexy flexy. aw well, they sound sick in everything else, so I might still want to give them a shot.

Which would you recommend them for: all mountain or for strictly park?

Me: So you like the big powder hits?

Cam Miller: Only when I am snorting them.

franky 'you've got a beat like a cop'

hello boys

are they like unbutterable stiff cuz i would like em if they were stiffer than the 04/05 skogs but not that much.

Chronics, Bitch!

^no.

the skis are amazing, no question about it.

you'll definitely be able to butter them as long as you get the appropriate size for your size, and get used to them.

everyone who rides them LOVES Them.

the skis are SO burly. they just WILL NOT fall apart, it seems, no matter what you throw at them. edges almost twice as thick, capped sidewalls. SO strong.

GREAT all mountain ski, completely comparable to something like a PE, but better in my opinion.

Thanks for a real ski review, not a bunch of bullshit.

better to burn out...

...then fade away

east coast- the new mick nicks are supposed to be a softer flex than the chronics and new skogens. the skogens are stiffer like the chronics, but fatter.

You're welcome, west.

and chris/east-coast, the local Line rep has Skogen's, Mike Nicks, Pollards, Asssassins, Chronics...they're all going around. just wait, they'll be at a place near you. but i think most of this year's demo's are over.

another note on the new line skis i used the assasin mtx a few months back, and i was so impressed! Having ridden lines for the past 4 years, and knowing the skis dont have the best edge hold, this impressed me so much, i also use the the new binding as well and was very impressed. So anyone looking for a twin but isnt a park rat all the time get this ski!!!

how do any of these compare stiffness wise to the 1080? I have the jr 1080 (I'm 5'1'') and I actually find them a little stiff at least for butttering and stuff--that prolly has something to do with the ski being so short. Im looking to go longer and maybe flexier.

now now children dont fight, plenty of mike nicks groomed hair to go around

a safety conscious drug user...isnt that an oxy-moron?-SUpilot

I'm surprised you thought they were heavy, don't they have carbon fibre in it? I wants some Chrons
