Line chronic-rails

I'm snagging a pair before they're discontinued and I ski pretty much only rails (we only have like 1 jump at my home mountain so I do get to jump much). They are super sweet on rails, such a fun ski.

I have the 2008 and I love them. I went all last year without any edge cracks, and only got two this year. Probably a total of about 70 days on them before edge cracks, which is pretty good. They are a little stiff for popping up onto high urban stuff, but you still get up there no problem, just a little more effort. It's a good choice, I love mine.

yea my 08's latch on to rails and so do my 10's....LINE is going to discontinue the chronics?!?!?!? they are my ski..not coolIt is probably their most popular ski thats just stupid

Not gonna lie, probably the most fun rail ski ever. I have mine .5cm back from center and its awesome. They are so poppy and light. I highly recommend them for just rails.

They aren't that amazing at rails. Not bad at all, but not exactly a flexy jibbing ski. They're really mostly for jumps.

i used to ride invaders but i got chronics and i like them rails more than the invaders
get them, they are dopppe skis

also im like you, my resort doesn't build jumps so i do a lot of rails, but you can take them anywheres else and they do just as well, went tree skiing in them a few weeks ago and they performed amazingly

i hate this "how are skis on rails" question.

there really is no such thing as a bad rail ski.

there are softer skis and stiffer skis, but that is all preference.

sure a pair of hellbents might not be ideal for lip 4 pretzel 4 ing a rail, but to someone else they may be exactly what they are looking for on rails, good for presses, whatever.

moral of the story, chronics will be fine on rails, just like any other park or all mountain ski.

ah ok. i was judging off of responses in the thread.

and to whoever said mount them center. terrible idea. if you want to mount a ski center, get a symmetrical ski, otherwise you are just going to be working against the sidecut the whole time.

Dude the chonics are super tough on rails and it's an excellent ski for all mountain...they'll do pow but they aren't optimal for it obviously....but for a smaller mountain and mostly park they'll hold up way longer than say an afterbang doin rails.....I actually have a set of 10's that are like a 9/10 with look px12 jib wide titaniums on em mounted at +3 of midsole that I was thinkin of possibly sellin for like $450 if your interested....few minor topsheet chips but the bases were never ground and only have a few scratches...nothin a good wax and sharpen wouldn't fix....never had a ptex fill either...if ya want pm me

Wrong. Best place to mount them. So you want someone to mount a strictly park ski (idc what line says, the chronic is a strictly park ski) 6 cm back from center? Because you are saying that mounting anywhere but recommended is fighting the sidecut. If you are a good skier, you won't have any problem. Why not get a symmetrical park ski then? Well there isn't a huge selection. Tell me what symmetrical park ski skis/ feels the same was as the chronics and then I will agree with you.

^^ and whoever was asking about chronics in powder, they are terrible. 85 underfoot, 111 in the tip, and stiff. You dive down so fast.

I dunno I've done some surprise pow in my chronics no problem. And they're 92 underfoot btw. I wouldn't recommend them for someone skiing lotsa backcountry obviously but it's do-able and you'll rip it...just takes alot of extra effort compared to a wider ski made for pow. But he said he lives on a small mountain and rides mostly park so they're perfect for him as opposed to say an afterbang which would take even more effort to ride in pow.

i skied on them, i hated them, they were heavy, super still and not a great rail ski for me, i originally was going to buy them, so glad i didnt

(this is all IMO)
