Line Chronic - 178 or 185? 12DIN or 14DIN?

info: 5'11, 160lb, east coast. good all-mountain and starting park. skiing 60% mountain 40% park. Trying to learn bumps and trees(chronic is wide enough for most eastern trees unless big pow days I believe?), as well as beginner park stuff like switch riding, boxes, small/medium jumps etc. hoping to progress quickly in the park this season.

I'm pretty set to get the line chronic (2013 or 2014 - no difference other than graphic), now the question is should I get 178 or 185? also for binding, do I need 14DIN(pivot/fks) just in case, or 12DIN(axial2/sth12 driver) is fine? I plan on keeping this pair for a fair long time.

Any input is appreciated

178, if your just starting park 178 is fine, you'll be able to throw them around and maneuver better in trees, 185 is huge for your height and for park, correct me if im wrong but aren't the chronics kinda stiff so youw ill still have the stability in the trees and charging on the 178

No need for 14 din bindings, you'll be at a 9 or less. And 178. You don't want to be bringing 185s through tight glades either, especially if they're center or closer to center mounted. I'm 6' 1" 168 lbs and I ride 181s with Griffons and they're fine

Thanks. I think the suggested mounting point is -4, lots of ppl suggest -2 for balance between mountain and park. What do u suggest as for mounting point? Don't know if marker schizo is worth it...
