Line blends vs line chronics, powder!

hey everyone, just wondering if anyone knows how the chronics handle the powder compared to the blends. I know the chronics are skinnier but I don't need too fat of a ski. However, I don't want to sacrifice good float in any depth of snow.+k for replies, Thanks.

the only difference between the chronic and the blend is the width, the blend is probably a better choice for you, although the waist is a little wider it is still versatile, and will be super fun ALL over the mtn. hope this helps

i have blends, they have nice stability all over the hill, in pow, and are fun for the park too. If where you live gets a decent amount of pow, go for the blends. If you are looking at

Blends are epic for everything except the deepest of pow, unless you spend most of your time on piste in the park go for those

This isn't true at all? They have different sidecut, different early rise, different tip/tail shape and very different flex.

For what it's worth the Blends are much better in powder than the Chronic, but I hated the flex pattern on them to the point I only skied my pair maybe 10 times before selling.

nope, very much a fact, i wrote that the day the line rep came into where i work for a product knowledge presentation...

same side cut, same construction, also, plot twist, the future spin, is also the same ski :O

oh and they changed the tip and tail on the blend, they no longer have early taper

your rep is wrong. From Line's website.

The Blend is

132-100-122, with a sidecut of 21m at 178. 4mm of early rise and 4mm of camber , it also has bigger tip rise than the Chronic.

The Chronic is

121-92-117, with a sidecut of 19m at 178. 2mm of early rise and 5mm of camber.

The Blend is also significantly softer. I can walk over to the skis now and see the difference... yep they are different.

Blends! They are the perfect width, have plenty of rocker, but not too much, and are soft and playful. They're amazing all around skis, in and out of the park, and I was just telling someone the other day that I think they are the best ski I have ever skied.
