what would be the best binding for the blend?

im 511 170 and i was thinkin of p14's or p18's or jesters or dukes. which one would you use?

oh and is there any other ski that would be a better choice than the blend?

i would be using it for all mountain jibbing/powder

Depends on what you will be doing with them. Give a little more info. If you are gonna be doing insane things with them p18s are a good choice, but are overkill if you aren't charging your balls off. 14s or jesters would be the most common used unless you are charging extremely hard..

yeah p14's are what i was thinkin too. i dont need my knees torn away from me lol.

but any other skis you can think of?

pretty much looking for a fatter all mountain ski that does it all. all that i know of right now is the blend and the kung fujas.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the new blends. They were made for what you just said you will be doing. Give em a shot, I am sure you will love them. You are going to get the 183's right?

I was in the same situation as you yesterday. I was pretty set on getting 183 blends but then found out the store had one last pair of 09 Bacons for 65 bucks off. Needless to say I jumped on the bacons because they better suit my skiing style.

I would definitely suggest looking for bacons, they're an extremely fun all mountain ski if you ski to enjoy the terrain and like something soft. (Really fun for jibbing and butters).

If you like an equal balance of width and a more maneuverable ski then get the blends.

Also maybe check out the ARV's? They're a very fun ski and similar to the blends.

i agree with the previous, bacons for something softer, blends for a bit stiffer. also might want to check out the nordica zeros, 103 under foot and symmetrical, dope all mountain.

yeah, i thought the bacons would be sweet for a while but i live in michigan so i dont really need the extra underfoot. i think the blends will be perfect for me though thanks ya'll for your input :)

Just bought the 09' Blends with Griffon bindings. I know they are gonna be sweet for all-mountain, but how do you think they'll do in the trees? I live in the east where the glades are kinda tight.

What size did you get? But even if they are the 183s, they will handle great. They aren't that long and they turn nicely. Now the real question is, how's your reaction time? haha

I'm 6' and 200 pounds so i went with the 183's. i considered the 178's thinkin they might be quicker tuning but when you put the two side by side and line up the midsole there is hardly any difference.

They'll handle great for you, don't worry. If you want to see them in action on the east coast I believe the movie head for hills showcases them in some tree segments. I mean if you want visual proof to make you feel at ease. Atleast check out the trailer maybe.
