Line blend Vs. Line elizabeth

Hey, so im in the market for a new all mountain, one ski quiver type of deal, and i have narrowed my searches down to the 09 Line blend, or 09 Line elizabeth. How do they hold up on rails, and whats the fatter ski like in the park? I rode Volkl bridges last yer. I am 5 '11 and 230lbs.

BTW, i searchebared, and found nothing about a bigger guy on these skiis, so, i made this thread.

yeah if you were to ride lizzies it would probably be borderline dangerous. you need at least blends, maybe prophet 90's or 100's.

At 230lbs do not get the Elizabeths - way to short/soft a ski for you. As someone else mentioned you could look at the Sir Francis Bacons, but I personally think the Blends will suit you better. The Blend IS a one ski quiver, that's why they called it the Blend. ;-)

183 blends will treat you right. they are absolutely awesome all mountain shredders. they will be stiff enough to support your weight but they won't be so stiff that they won't be fun in the park. I guarantee that you'll be really stoked with them.

Where do you ski? At 230# don't even think about Lizzie/Bacon/EP Pro unless you spend 100% of your time in powder and don't ski very fast. If you want Line and ski park Blend. If you ski big mountain, Mothership.

Lizzies are not a powder ski, especially for a bigger guy, i just picked up some blends and i have heard nothing but good things about them (note above post) although i al smaller, based on their flex i would say the 183s would be spot on for you

I'm pretty sure the Elizabeths were originally marketed as a powder ski. Most any ski that wide is at least decent in the pow. I agree that they will not perform that well for a bigger guy, but for a lighter guy they make for a decent all-mountain ski.

im'a proud owner of 08/09 blends and i support this message.

no really, you should listen to what Markie says. at your weight you'll love how these babies flex, super fun everywhere just keep in mind mounting a bit further up the line if you're gonna do any park with these. i love my pair.

wrong. marketed as a park specific ski for a medium size guy (ie eric pollard). used by smaller guys as a pow ski or all in one ski....
on the note tho...def get the blend. the lizzies would be tiny for someone of you size.
blend in 183 for a poppy ski that kills it everywhere. if you like a little softer ski that would be slightly better in the pow go with the bacon.

yeah def blends. blends also perform on rails. just look at will wesson in Wild Stallions or any of the TCs later in the year. will used the blend on all types of jibs and rails....even on the east coast. the ski seemed to get the job done and held up well even on some of the smaller jibs that he was doing. Just watch Wild Stallions, the blends are used all over in that movie and its an east coast movie. Erik olson, giray dadali, will wesson, and many others use them on rails, in the backcountry, in the park, in pow, and even on some groomers and all mountain stuff as well. blends would be a solid choice for you.
