Line blend 171 or 178?

I'm looking at getting the line blends as a first time buyer i'm not sure whether to get the 171's or the 178's.

I'm 175cm and about 64kg. I'm an advanced skier, tending to hit groomers with speed, play about with any jumps, look for off piste powder when i can and hit park occasionally and i will be looking to improve my skiing substantially with these especially doing a season next year. Looking for an all round playful ski which can go anywhere and i've heard these are the skis for that but I'm stuck on which size to get.

How much does the rocker reduce effective edge should i compensate by getting the 178's or am i too light for the 178's?

Thanks

just asking... how old are you? cause you say you want them for more than one season and maybe you can buy them a little on growth? (is that correct english?)

the blend is a soft ski and you're an advanced skier so 178 would be best , in my opinion.

Also with the early rise and lines short sizing, there's another reason for 178. Go 178 my man.

I know this thread is from january, but I'm currently going through the same decision. Would you guys recommed the 178 even if I'm just 171 cm, 60 kg?

Your pretty light. Unless you think you're going to grow, get 171s

I know this is an old thread, I am in the same boat 5'8" 125lbs, advanced skier, pushing groomers fast as hell, dropping cliffs in the back, and hitting larger jumps in the park. Suggestions?

I'm 5'10 and 140 lb and I currently ride 185 blends and I love the size on them, so honestly I would go for a bigger size if you had to choose. Makes butters a bit easier and they feel more stable. I haven't had a problem with the size/weight being an issue.

I am 5 '3 and 125 but anyway you'd be fine anywhere in the 170-80cm area
