yeah so i went into my local shop today cause i was bored, and asked the binding tech im friends with about the new line bindings, he just gave a little 'ha' and said that they are an old mans bindings. no pro skier should be riding them casue you blow out so easily. ive never riden them but he has, he has them on his dynastars just for fun and says they are perfect for aa 40 year old guy, not for park rats throwing down off big tables!

Against popular beleif, the guys who work at ski shop are not the end-all and be-all of skiing knowledge. They're just shmucks like you and me lucky enough to land a job (and I know this first hand cuz I work in a shop). And just like you and me, the shmucks at ski shops are inclined to personal opinion. I personaly think the Line binding is a really nice system. Kinda what I was waiting for the Look/Rossi to do. I've never used em, but alot of people have and love em.

everyone is saying that they suck!!! they do NOT... i have them on my 1260's and they kick ass... i have put them through hell and they r in prefect condition...the only thing wrong is that the brakes bend easy...but they r better then my look bindings i had.

well somehow my brake caught while landing switch today and sent me flying with the ski still on.

^Set your DIN higher on your heel piece. When you land with a lot of pressure forward on the skis, your heel can lift just enough to let the brake go down.

Dope.

my toe piece came off while skiing. pieces of shit.

ski techs don't know anything, at least where I am from, took the guy 2 times to realize what center mount meant and he still didn't get it right

The brake system sucks if you ask me. The way that it is attached and rotates with the heel piece is so stupid. When the heel piece rotates to release, the brake can easily get stuck on top of the ski sending it flying down the hill

lad i know snapped the heel piece clean in half landing a small kicker in mammoth. he's sposored by them, so he's getting more but he only rode em 4 3days or sumthin. nuff sed

I heard that's why Mike Wilson is off the team, because he wouldn't ski the binding. All I hear is stories of toe pieces popping off.

all I hear throughout this thread is 'I heard' and 'he said,' who here actually has facts on how they perform? Ive never tried them and no matter what I hear from other people I wont classify them as good or bad bindings because ive never tried them. come back to this thread with some personal experience!

I heard that this one guy was using them, and then they ejected unexpectedly, and came loose from the ski. But then the left binding rescued a cat that was stuck in a tree. So yeah, they're good.

woah, since when has mike wilson been off the line team...

I had the original pair, and i didn't like those so much, but i got this years pair for free so i thought i'd give them another try. Yesterday was my first day on them, with mick nick pros and i didn't have any problem with them, i'll have to ride them some more to get a total feel for them, but i have hope that they'll be really nice. They should have redesigned the breaks though, they still suck.

My buddie decided to get a pair this year to make sure that he would always pop out if he fell. We were out for our fourth day on the slope, and he fell on a switch 5. Toe piece broke apart. But hell, he popped out and was fine. Thats whats important right?

the binding works great, especially when mounted on lines. they hold me in better than rossis and allow the ski to flex in a way other bindings dont. I ski for line and I have broken 2 pairs. once they figure out what is causing the base of the binding in the toe and heel pieces to become loose and break and fix the problem, line will have a great binding

^^He said it. Line bindings work better with Line skis, i.e. the pre threaded holes built into Line skis.

Granted, there are a lot of people in here saying they suck, so we can probably assume Line needs to make some changes.

There are also a lot of people saying they blow their bindings off their skis. Wtf. I ski pretty fuckin hard and I've never had a pair of bindings break as described above. I guess you guys must be animals or something, or maybe the mounting job just sucked. I have no idea.

Well I have yet to have a problem with mine...I bought them with line skis so I guess I get the two year warranty if the toe or heal does bust apart...but so far so good and I have landed pretty hard on them and have not popped out because I did not fall...but I also have fallen pretty softly and popped out .... seems to me they work perfect

I havent used these bindings. I like to use what shit works. I have had one pair of Salomons that were faulty but those are long gone.

I like both Marker and Salomon though.

The whole deal with the bindings is anyone making skis wants to make bindings too so they dont have to sign contracts with companies like Marker and Salomon.

I have heard the same thing about Rossi Bindings; 'they work better on Rossi skis'. Some people only go by what they are told. I like to try various avenues and see what works best for me.

I wouldn't mind trying the Line bindings but sometimes I go by what I hear. The Ski companies like people to buy all the same brand because of obvious reasons. If they have a warranty on them at least they stand by their product if it does break which is always a good thing.

my friend got some reactor 10s on his new lines, and they broke, not to meantion they are mad heavy

these threads are so dumb...just try the binding on your own...does it really matter if me or anyone else that has used them say they rock...or if someone heard from someone that thier friends broke.....nobody should make a decision based on what other people tell them in an online forum

i've been riding the reactor 12 for about a month straight and i love them. i think everyone is just saying they suck because they're on the heavy side and they hear other people saying it.

I'll throw the link in again for MY THREAD ON THE REACTOR BINDINGS, which I would reccomend reading. Because I put alot of thought into it.

There is nothing wrong with them. I ride them hard and they have done me no wrong. Remember to rock them on LINE skis, too...because LINE is sweet.
