Line Bindings gone?

There are no line bindings in the new freeskier. So did line just stop making them? I thought merging with k2 was supposed to give line the money they needed to expand. Whats line doing here?

yup they're gone for the time being, don't be surprised to see another attempt at it after some more research and development, oh and the new skis don't have the quickmount inserted holes either

you know it is about time. i just couldnt get the ball in the hole. i wanted too.. but i just couldnt do it.

Unfortunately, line bindings were garbage even though they were about the coolest and most adjustable/safe bindings I ever did see. The downside was the they broke and they also weighed as much as a light truck.

Thats why they stopped making them

in the issue they said line abondoned the bindings and thats why this year's skis dont have the pre-drilled screw holes meant for the reactor. Someone correct me if im wrong here.

for now they are gone...i bet you they are still researching them and just not wasting even more money on making more bindings that wont sell...they will most likley come out witha fresh model in like 2 seasons or so....maybe

I thought they were a sick binding. I liked the interchangeability and the saftey factor.. Its too bad they didn't make the track beefier. If they had.. many of the breakage problems would have never arisen.

I am one for k2 putting some money in and making something of the idea.

it sucks cuz now that k2 owns them they could prolly make them better startin like next season, but no one would trust them so it'd be a bitch to make it worth while for them. I hope they try though the reactors were a sweet idea. although generally i'm not a fan of the ski specific bindings, like in normal carvings skis and shit these days where a lot of them you HAVE to get them as a package. it'd be cool if someday like all twins came predrilled with a standard pattern and a bunch of companies made jib specific bindings to go with them.... some day perhaps

i ahve a pair of R10s and they work great but they are a little heavy, they are awesome o the other hand for backcountry. if nyone wants to buy them PM me

that's what j lev was hoping for when they started the pre drilled binding mount but the other companies saw that as a good oppurtunity to lose $$ despite progression so they threw out the idea

its a good thing they are gone, many a injury were cause by those crapy piece's. Line had the right idea but they just didnt make the binding strong enough

if you mount them right they will not break. dont have it done by the neighborhood retard. go to someone who knows wtf they are doing and the binding is sick.

My friend broke his in the 1st or 2nd week using them. It worked out well though for him because they had a waranty and since the shop was getting so many broken line bindings, they gave him some nice salomons.

It was a great idea, they just need to do more research and development to stop them breaking and being so heavy but I'm sure that with the finacial support from K2 that'll happen in the next few seasons. Sweet!
