What do you guys think? ANd give me real answers not something gay like, they look gay or line sucks etc...Real stuff like if youve tried them what you think and such, thanks alot

dude they look soooooo sick. i really wish i woulda waited. you should buy them and support it cuz it has some cool fuckin tech innovations

probably not, have you felt them mounted on a ski? they're super heavy. its a good concept though, i would probably buy line bindings down the road when they get all the kinks out of them

keep your head screwed on tight

yea really i was considering it too, but think about all the new tech they have tossed into that thing, they have to weeight alot and new stuff like that always has a wacked out stuff till the make new and better ones, but i may be wrong... line is the shit, dont get me wrong.

word.

Where do you live? I live/work at stratton and our shop has a demo of the binding, and once you get a look at that, you will not want it on you ski. I mean, i support line all and all, but this thing is pretty sketchy. Plus with a suggested retail of 349, its dam expensive. My advise to you would be to just get a set of Rossi/Look Axial/Pivot bindings. There design is tested tough for many years now, and i would say that it is the best binding on the market for jibbing. Take it from me, a certified binding technician by every company, that the line binding just does not look safe. I put the retail model on our binding testing machine and it read out some funky numbers. If you really want this binding, I would suggest waiting till next fall to get a set, buy then they will have worked out all the bugs.

what shop at stratton do you work at? i've been having some trouble with my look p11's loosening up on my boot... i need to have them looked at. cause i'm sick of carrying a screwdriver around with me.

do not buy them! they are heavy! they are having tons of problems getting them shipped because the springs and internal bits and shit didnt pass strenght test. also, the toe and heal peice are made out of the shitiest plastic i have ever felt. it seriously felt like i could step on it and it would explode. Shit. they are shit. dont buy them. if you want the safty of that binding, go buy look P12s or 14s. better looking, higher quality, a lot lighter, and the exact same technology. best bindings i have ever skied with.

Lets go skiing

yeah, you cant go wrong with look or rossi bindings, i got the scratch 140s and they are light as hell and the safest thing out there. the line binding ways alot but it will improove over time.

it looks good. how bad can it be if it actually became a binding the www.getboards.com is gonna sell. it cant be all bad?

freeskiing- its a way of life dumbass

they are pretty damn pricey but until now i havent heard anything but praise for the line binding. Lines been ranting for the last few month about how sik and crazy the binding is.

hey, i work at freds freeride up in killington, and we got one (yeah, just one pair) of the line bindings in. everyone at the shops tried them, and heres our opinion

this binding breaks easily, rick our tuner tried it and the plastic toepiece cracked, its basically a spun polymer material for the toe, definately not like it should be

jibbers beat their bindings hardest of any skiers other then bumpers, shouldnt the binding NOT be so easy to break?

its very heavy, not as heavy as you would think but if your skiing a heavy ski like the mothership (which we mounted it to), it just ends up being too much weight underfoot

the final problem is its not responsive enough. your foot really floats in the thing. hascal the owner, whos over 250 lbs, just CANT use the binding. its definately not made for a heavy rider

i give line and jay congrats on making the binding. look for everything to be fixed next season. anything that comes out midseason has its problems, since their really just testing the water. they didnt make many pairs

H30, i agre with what you said about the boot floating from side to side, but the only time i notice it is when i am just standing aroung. I haven't had a problem with it not being responsive. This is sorta weird, because your boot does move with in the boot. The def. have flaws, i not going to doubt it but i like them. Nice for switching between skogs and mofos

all i have to say is to all you that post ' i heard...' or 'i saw' or 'i felt'. don't post your damn comments. we don't want to hear your gay ass answers. yes, they are heavy, yes they look cheap. BUT, demo them. i didn't have any problems with the pair i rode. they held up very well all over, bumps, rails, jumps, big mountain.

now, not everyone is going to like it. but if you haven't tried them, keep your mouth shut.

I have 2 problems with this binding, first is that the guy who owned the patents on the binding, did not work for line untill this year. He used to work for marker a long time ago, untill he eather quit or just got out of there. then he came up with this design and patented it. The he tried to sell it first to marker, then rossi/look, then salomon, and numorus others untill line finally went with it. Its nothing that jay himself drew up. No i have no problem with line making the binding, but if the binding is so revolutionary, so great, wouldnt you think that Marker would have bought the patents on it a while ago? I mean Marker holds somthing like 55% of the market share right now, and they would want to have the leading edge. so my onlyy problem is that, This binding was not good enough for Marker, Rossi/Look, Salomon and others, so ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

Secondly, they origonaly said that this binding would be out no later then Nov 15. Which, shit can get back order and what not, i have no problem with that, but was dissapointed me was that all retailers only saw a portion of what they ordered cause line only make a select few, and i quote, 'to insure that if something goes wrong, we know where they all are.' Now, thats not the best thing to be saying when your trying to come out with a new binding.

Thats all for now, my advise, go with a Rossi/ look binding.

thanks alot guys, and i agree with adrenaline, those 'i heard' comments don't help, i am interested in what people whove tried them think, right now i am leaning away from them\. but i still want to hear what you guys think, no scratch that, i wanna hear what you guys KNOW!

vtrider... have you ever heard of the stories of young, rebellious and inventive bands who try to get a record deal, but none of the established, 'leading' companies will pick them up, because they're already making all the money they need, and don't need to waste any on a revolutionary concept that might or might not work out. So what does the band do? They find a smaller, more supportive label that's more into the music itself, and then they make them rich.

All I can say is, give them time. If you're a technician and you tried the bindings and didn't like them, that's fine. If you rode them and didn't like them, that's fine. But, um, I can't really respect the opinion of someone who says 'They just don't LOOK right.'

And to the person who says 'The heels rotate!'... well, um, that's the whole point, buddy.

This might be a really bad question, but how does the Line binding keep forward pressure constant no matter what kind/size of boots you use, if it has a one piece toe? Don't all other bindings have three piece toes for that reason, among others?

I just got by line bindings on Tuesday and got to try them out yesterday. I thought they worked really well. I thought they held up pretty good. They are fairly heavy, but I got used to the weight after a few runs.
