hmmm...anyone know if Ride is owned by K2? because if they are, that could be the answer as to why they are so similar, because both line and ride would be owned by the same company, therefore they could be sharing some graphic ideas
 
line likes to make fun of people with their graphics. do yo think this was intentional just to poke at snowboarding?
 
both line and k2 contracted out the same artist to do the topsheet, with the understanding that it would be two original pieces of art. unfortunately, the guy was a bit shady and did one two ways, and sold it to both companies. k2s in house didnt notice, and it slid through the cracks. apparently theyre suing the artist for it
 
thats strange that K2 wouldnt notice it since they own line and ride...

thats a pretty big screw up not to notice
 
Remember when Ride made the denim top sheet snowboard? That was a ripoff of the original Seth Pistols which was in turn a rip off of the Sex Pistols.
 
you dont have to remember that hard..... it was last season, and it was the "limited edition" dfc crush. limited because the dfc boards boots and bindings only sell in stores, not online.
 
the artist was recommended by k2, with the terms of him doing both designs they had to be original. gotta remember, k2 and line are completely differently run companies, they really only use the same ditribution network and manufacturing
