Line Anthems/Invaders

I like fatter skis so I wanted to get the anthems for next year but I hate the way they look, they look like the T-Shirts the Redneck-Indians try to sell at my local county fair. The thing that makes me want them less is the fact that the Invaders look sick as hell this season. Do you think it will be a problem for the minimal amounts of pow we get in New York if I get the Invaders, or should I just suffer and get the Anthems.
 
it prolly looks better in person cause most skis do that

but if u dont like it then just put lots of stickers and spray paint and shit on em
 
yea paint them. although in all fairness I see where you're comin from the invaders are way sicker looking, and whats wrong with using graphics as a factor in what ski to buy? performance wise tons of skis will probably do well for him so might as well get one that looks good too, and if you cant decide between skis that all serve a very similar purpose what else are you supposed to go on?

Right there, he wants a fatter ski, but because it doesnt have the graphic he likes, he will go with a ski that he probably wont enjoy as much. You are correct about there being plenty of skis that will serve him well. But we are talking about two very specific skis, and clearly one is catered more towards what he is looking for. If he were comparing several ski's twins that skiied very similar, then it might come down to graphics.
 
probably put a clear coat on after to protect the paint from the elements. You could do some crazy design or all white or all black and get some stencils. It would be sweet to do each ski different and have your own "pro model"
 
Anthems have an amazing feel.. more stable I suppose. I like anthems much more than I liked my invaders.

But honestly in NY.. its a toss up. If you're only thinking about anthems b/c of minimal pow days.. go with invaders.. b/c invaders do fine all over.
 
its funny how most people are like "graphics dont matter" but I mean no one wants a ski that they look at and are like "this is stupid" true graphic is the last thing u look at but it can be the final chooser between skis...personelly I think if u can really get along with the graphic get the anthem...if u know u will hate them forever get the invader...personnely even thoe u like fater skis id say get the invader since ur in NY
 
You guys are good at changing my view. I still don't know what to choose but I wont be as against buying anthems when buying season rolls around. I hope Windells has line this year because if I go, it would be great to check these two out.

Are the anthems $380 next year? Personally I'd rather get a dopeass ski from this year for ~$300. Dumonts for example, although for some reason, if there's a single ski I can't seem to enjoy, and would have a hard time convincing myself to purchase despite its' badass-ness, it's the dumont. I bet all you cocks think the dumont has a dope graphic

You could get the ARV instead, I don't even know. Something about buying a ski at retail price bothers me knowing you could prolly get last years /w bindings for the same price. Cept nobody really has anthems for sale so this might be the exception..
 
haha I'm not so much rating it. I mean, given a good deal I'd grab them I know it's a sick ski. It's just knowing there's other skis that'll fit the style I like it comes down to graphics+price between 2-3 skis once you narrow it down. I think half of the skis made look retarded as fuck, yet it all looks good on snow.. My worst would be the CR Lab, camo on a ski just doesn't work
 
so the anthems are a tru twin, symetrical, 93 underfoot, butterzones, carbon ollie band, come in a 178.....they sound too perfect...any one know how much they weight??
 
wtf why not? from waht ive hurd the anthems are the fucking bee's knee's (haha) this year, is there something thats gonna be wrong with them (dont say graphic casue its ballin)
 
I to am looking at the anthems. and they dont thrill me on the graphics but i care about the ski. the question i need answered is if they will de laminate cause my bro has invaders and so does his friend and they chip and cut so bad in the tail and nose but he has the ones with the pink bottoms so mabey they fixed that last year im not sure
 
they don't weight that much. With a light binding it feels like nothing is down there. Not noticeably different than invaders. I think.
