i live on the east and i am 5'11" and 150 pounds. I was wondering which ski i should go for i have heard that the anthem is good for light skiers but havnt heard much about the mid wieght skiers. I want a ski that i can ski the ocasional east coast mashed potatoes (pow) but still handle the ice and the park. Also i want something that is stable at high speeds

Thanks

cant go wrong with either ski

i would say anthems tho just cuz you dont need a mini rocker ... its a waist on the east coast

those are 2 completely different skis. The anthem Is a fat 94mil underfoot park noodle that is symmetrical and isn't meant to be an all mountain ski. The Seth is a 98mil underfoot all mountain ski with early tip rocker for powder. I think your best bet would be the seth though.

agreed....

how did you come to the decision for anthems or seth's?

for you i would say anthems since your on the midwest but i think they will be a tad too soft for mashed potatos.. i personaly would suggest the K2 public enemy, its not as wide as either of these but it sounds like it would be a ski you would be looking for..

I use my Seths in the pipe and I use them as my go-to ski for icy days. They would work just fine for what you need on the East Coast. The Anthem obviously is a bit softer than a Seth and could work in varied snow, but it won't charge like a Seth and excel over a broader range of conditions. And people, if you haven't skied both skis, don't give your opinions on which ski is better. Tell the dude your specs and what you thought of the ski you rode, otherwise it doesn't help much.

if you buy the anthem over the seth for an all mountain ski you're an idiot. the anthem is fun, but only for park, especially if you're not really really small. they're symmetrical park skis man, they don't perform well at all for charging all mountain. maybe compare something like the blend and the seth, that would make a little more sense. speaking of the blend, that would be a way better ski for what you've described than the anthem. they handle all moutnain really really well and they're way better in the park than the seth.

how is the anthem a noodle? i would rather ride my invaders in the park, i think my anthems are too stiff for park, perfect for the rest of the mountain, cept for bigger jumps

blends could be a good option too... although i really have my doubts on the anthems "not being good outside the park". i just got my pair and haven't even mounted'em yet but just by flexing them by hand i can honestly say that the feel kinda like my chronic wides. they didn't feel soft at all... stil though can't say much cus i haven't skied them but i'll let you all know by this weekend.

ok, well let me clarify something... if you consider ripping around groomers outside the park and skiing bump runs all mountain (or you live in the east), then yes, the anthem will be fine for all mountain. if you live in the west and your definition of all mountain consists of everything from park to ripping groomers to taking your skis out of bounds or just pow day ripping and afternoon crud busting, then they will not be good at all. so i guess for the majority of kids on here, they'd be fine for an all mountain ski. but just make sure you take into account what you'll actually be skiing before you choose the anthem over the seth or blend for an all mountain ski.

Get the anthems, they are better in the park. Since you live in the east as I do, I don't think you'll be going into a lot of pow.

go anthems, im 6'5 200 and i use them on the east coast for everything and fucking love them, ski much more stable than they feel, torsional stiffness is pretty good
