Line afterbang has the new technology and i dunno if thats reliable or not and the anthem is gonna ski the bumps and the pow to well

afterbangs if your more park specific and anthems for more all mountaindef get afterbangs if ur on the west coastbut searchbar, there are plenty of threads to suit your needs on each

i think what he's saying is that you would get the bang instead of the anthem if you lived east coast cause there'll be more park and stuff? idk. but i was kinda wondering what the difference was between their stiffness as well

afterbang is a stiffer ski, albeit only slightly, but it is much stiffer torsionally thanks to the new construction, so, hypothetically, its a better east coast ski as it will give you better hold on hard snow and ice outside the park.

that being said, a lot of it comes down to how you like to ski. something wider and more playful can be ridiculously fun too, its like a controlled smear turns all over the mountain (doesnt have the stiffness to really dig in and carve on the ice coast). the afterbang is def a more controlled butter, as the flex point is right in front of the binding and the ski is less like to wash.

if you're riding more park, id lean toward the afterbang. ski will take a through trashing and laugh at you. at the two demos i skied them at, we tried to break them, and the only thing we came up with was a cracked demo binding plate.

do the invaders wash out on jumps, like say 40 ft.
ok so i can get invaders for 150 or anthems for 200, which would be best as a pure park ski, jumps no bigger than 40 ft, and jibin and such

personally, id say anthems, but if ur light, invaders will work. id base my decision on that around weight and height

Having ridden both, the anthems were more fun. The afterbangs have the cool new tech factor though. and they are dirt fucking cheap/

true but if you shop around you can find the previous years anthems for cheaper. plus they are much better in pow

Just as much park out West, we just have powder too. NS confuses me sometimes. Anthem is really no better for pow than the Afterbang. It is 6mm wider and it is also symmetrical, both skis are going to be poor performers in the powder, do not choose because one is fatter. Get which one you think will suit your park skiing best. Looks like the creator lives in Minnesota though, so now it really does not matter which is "better" in the powder.

I think somebody else asked this. you should look at that thread too. but i say anthems. my bro bought the a bangs and returned them for anthems. but it also depends on the conditions you ski and terrain.

ive got some anthems and when i rarely ski bumps their shit (maybe due to the centermount) but are real good in pow and the park

I'm looking for the most playful ski as possible and don't know if I should get 166 Afterbangs or 171 Anthems. I'm going to do only some boxes, presses, ollies , hand drags, small jumps under 30 feet, it should also be able to handle groomers quite well as for park ski. Which one would be better ?

Yeah, but the anthems are soft too, and cheap, plus they dont make em anymore, so get the ANTHEMS before they're gone

Seems that you're interested in powder too. In this case I would go with Chronic Cryptonites mounted about 2 cm back from true center.
