Line after bangs

aight so i was wondering if its normal that the wood on my line abangs started to chip after one day. i did hit some rails but i didnt only do rails the whole time. also is that wood waterproof under the chipped parts?
 
Yeah i think thats pretty normal my brother has skied them like 4 times and the whole topsheet is almost chipped off.
 
chipping topsheets is because you are smashing your skis together on rails or spinning, it is not the manufacturer's fault, although afterbangs are normally more prone to chipping because they are made entirely of wood.
 
i skied the afterbangs all last season, and now this season, have about 60 days on them, there chipped like no other, but still ski the same, chipping is what there known for, they dont rought, so your fine.
