Which is easier: a lincoln or a backflip? Which one did you learn first? Any tips on either?

any fate questions or orders, let me know.

backflips are soooo much easier, on a lincoln loop you actually have to set up for it and think about what you are doing

It takes awhile to learn the rotation for a lincoln but if you get the rotaion down good on a tramp or diving board they are easyer then backs but it doesn't take much to learn the rotation for a back...

backs are easiest you just have to get over the fact that your totally upside down. With lincolns, pick a point far away and try to keep looking at that the durring the rotation, and try to touch your left cheeck to your left shoulder, or the other way depending on which way you throw them.

both aren't very hard but easier than both of them is a flat spin. I tried for a year to learn this stupid trick and realized I was putting way to much effort into it. they are hard to understand but once you land one, you'll always land the rest of em.

backflips are easier at first...then i think lincolns become easier after a while... but i like to call them barrel rolls not lincolns...who came up with that name anyway.?...was it morrison?... i never did like it

the guy that was named lincoln didnt invent them, he just made them popular. It used to be called a Smokey Mountain Roll.

are gainer backs any harder than backflips when you start backwards on a diving board?

skiing is fun

gainers are just slightly harder to not pause upside down and come down on your face...

Lincoln is not intimidating as you can see the landing but the motion is perpendicular to your plane of motion so it is harder to initiate. A backflip is a rotation in the same plane and provided you thrust your hips to bring yourself up to horizontal, continuing in the same direction as you are travelling and don't throw back your shoulders to initiate rotation (at least that is what i find) then its just a question of being confident and looking round for the landing (try like a seat drop to begin with)
