alright i have dsl and so does my friends so i download .limewire because he has it and it works great on his comp but on mine it doesnt connect! it makes me so mad any reason this might be? my firewall is off and everything but i still have no clue why

Do you have a router or anything? It is possible that there might be another form of firewall blocking the ports from incoming and outgoing data.

have you tried waiting a while for it to connect?

i run on apple computers and i find i have to wait like 10 minutes before it will connect

I have the same problem with my computer. I've only been able to get it to work on computers with OS X.

If you want safe go with WinMx...it is worldwide and impossible to get caught. The downloads don't go as fast but it's well worth it.

yeah dude, i recently got limewire too and got the same problem, you either have to just wait it out, or i found it might speed it up if you open an explorer window, maybe just cause it sees that there is an open internet connection on ur comp and recognize what it is. i'm not sure though, but i have a router and a firewall... so maybe it's different with you, but it's worth tryin
