How do you guys feel about lil wayne? personally i dont think he should have a record deal. all of his songs are about a bunch of random bull shit. i mean when i ski i have a few of his songs on my playlist but its mostly because the beats he uses are pretty good. but in general i think he is a shitty rapper

Personally I think his lyrics and his style is hilarious. He just dont give a fuck.

Which makes it bad. He got some good songs tho, but when im listening to his music its all about the beat.

Lil Wayne can do whatever the fuck he wants, he doesn't give a fuck what you think. All the man cares about is making music, love him or hate him he has the hardest working attitude in the rap game. He doesnt make songs for other people, he has already done that with all of his earlier shit. All he does now is whatever the fuck the Syyyrup tells him to do. I dont like all of his shit but I respect the guy a lot more now then I used to when every 14 year old white girl was in love with him.

for a rapper it is,, i mean snoop dogg golfs and lil wayne bowls and smart. Are you saying that your not bad ass if your smart and have a talent at a sport?
 
honestly if u listen to his lyrics they may make no sense but alot of them are soo clever and he can practically freestyle an entire platinum album
 
i mean he had a few songs a while ago that were alright but the songs he makes now are just random bars over and over, he wouldnt be able to make an album where the songs actually stick to topics, thats why i dont really feel him i like rappers like jada and lupe that tell stories in their songs, thats just my opinion though
 
Honestly, i think that is why some people actually do like him. his lyrics are like one clever line after another clever line. I kind of dig it. It's like watching a comedian who just does one liners.

The stuff he comes up with is incredibly clever, even if his songs don't tell stories. I'd be hard pressed to find someone who can relate two seemingly unrelated things like he does.

 
he dropped out of school in like, seventh grade I think, I'm pretty sure it was before he had his kid and he was 15 when that happened
 
Little Wayne, lyrics wise, I think is one of the worst rappers I've ever hear in my life. I find it extremely funny that K'naan sort of sounds like him except more intelligent and well spoken, and english isn't even his first language.
However, his VH1 behind the music is hillarious. What a moron, who manages to accidentally shoot themself by the age of 12?
 
when you say older i dont no what you mean becuase lil waynes oldest stuff wasnt as ghood and it has gotten much better except for some of the stuff but his old shit like 16 to 19 was garbage for the most part and yes i am a huge lil wayne fan... the way he doesnt give a shit about what anybody else thinks is great he shouldnt he should make the music he likes other wise what is the point of doing something you dont like when you are already loaded

Even if you hate Lil Wayne's music you have to respect the fact that he doesn't give a shit about what anyone else thinks about his music. He does what he thinks is good and thats all he cares about.

A 16-year-old suburban white boy who listens to Aesop Rock and Atmosphere and brags to all his friends that he listens to "underground rap"? I sure as hell hope not.

dude doesn't care, alot of his lines and metaphors are hilarious and creative. I like that not only does he say shit that hasn't been said before, he finds a way to say the same shit that every other artist raps about (havin money, fuckin bitches, ect.) and says it in a new way.

No, just people with good taste in music. People who listen to rap that has good flow, doesn't sound like a 2 year old smoker and have rhymes that don't rhyme just to rhyme, they have thought.
