i think lil wayne is the epitome of the stereotype that the older generation coins hip-hop with i'm really not a fan of him....and i do agree i think he sounds whiny
 
because the mafia, the name that is commonly used to describe the italian organized crime syndicate, has been historically against letting minorities, or any non-italian, into the families.

it's hard for me to believe that an organization who has been at odds with minority gangs for the past 20 years due to similar business interests would have an entire family of black mafioso.

unless this is just a phrase used by a group not affiliated with the sicillian rooted mafia, using the mafia name as an easy way to show the world what they think of their toughness and savvy as organized crime members.

 
actually, the mafia had a huge influence on the formation of that city, but there was a sherrif that was very anti-mafia and anti-italian that ended up making life so difficult for them that they left. also, with southern flordia in such close proximity and the opportunites for mafioso-laden business ventures better there than anywhere else in the us, there is no need for the mafia to reestablish a presence in N'awlins.

...the term mafia is now used for other organized crime groups, not just italians... there's the russian mafia and the japanese mafia too name some of the bigger more important ones...there's even a jewish mafia...
 
^ i know that, but it is stupid for people to refer to other nationalities' organized crime as mafia, because the word itself has it's roots in the sicillian regions it was formed.

there are other terms, used in the respective countries (i.e. yakuza) , for the other nationalities' crime groups that are not used because of the immediate reaction the word "mafia" brings out from the general public.

the media uses the reaction to get more subscribers or viewers, and the law enforcement officials use the reaction to justify to the citizens the measures they take in efforts to disband organized crime.

 
ight heres the deal on lil wayne. he is a nasty rapper but says gay rhymes sometimes s people hate on him. bottom line is his songs are dope so listen to them and dont sit at you computer agrueing about whether or not hes good
 
I don't see how you find his voice whiny... but he's still a bad rapper. Recently some people here told me I just wasn't listening to his good stuff, and I listened to their songs and still didn't like him. He's not the lyricist everyone hypes him up to be by any stretch, and half the time they aren't even about anything. Some of the beats are decent, Money on my Mind in particular, but definitely not the top. I'm deleting this off My Threads because way too much of my post count is devoted to Li'l Wayne arguments, but yeah...
