So likely that Cat will open with the new snow, if so anyone going and if they don't open anyone wanna set up a jib session somewhere, thinking about skinning up mount mitchell due to forecasting a foot of snow. if nothing else works out

Skiing Mount Mitchell is on the bucket list for me this season. Let us know how it is today.

So cat ended up opening tmrw, so ill be heading up there, not mt mitchell. but i am getting out there sometime this year with out a doubt. over 100 inches of snow fall a year up there! in NC that is crazy.

i'd be tempted to hit cat this weekend if they open again. would be cool if they threw out a few shitty features on the side of the trail

yeah found out the hard way that there was nothing yesterday

good bet that the will not until after thanksgiving, but with the new park trail this year who knows whats happening, I'm up there a good bit so hit me up i talk to the park crew a good bit so i usually have the inside scoop. or just look for me when your up there, ill be the best fucking skier on that mtn!

Actually mt Mitchell doesnt get that much snow. The black mountains just aren't favored by storms as much as other areas. Roan is much better and has open areas. Max patch is also good.

i heard open to the top of quad this weekend? rumored a few boxes/rails too

i haven't been up in awhile but i can tell you unless the blowing stops the park crew will be to lazy to go out and set stuff up in that shit.

100 inchs per year on mt Mitchell is allot, and iv never been to rowan so i thought it was all pretty flat. also iv been to max patch and its also a dope spot but can become crowed and tracked out while mitchell would be rather untouched. and it is much closer to me the max is
