im really looking into this, and i was wondering if anyone has used it and about how hard is it to learn. im getting good in photoshop and im starting to learn illustrator but id really like to get into some 3d stuff. so if u have used it or have heard anything good from someone u know about lightwave please post here. or any other good 3d program for that matter

FUNK IT UP!

there's alot to it, and I'd take a few tutorials just on the tools because there are so many.

Gonna take some patience to learn it and get the hang of it at first, but once you start to get it it's alot of fun.

I also recommend looking into bryce and maya.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

It's not that easy. I found 3D studio easyer to learn but more complete.

Lightwave 3D is pretty good tough... Find tutorials, they will help!

Lwave sucks mad cock i think....I would try using 3d max or if you have the time to learn try the new maya...butL_wave is not worht it...I live with people whos major is animation and they rag on it

i use mac, i considered 3d max but its only on pc. and lightwave is much more complete. maya i have also cosidered and demoed and i like lighwvae a lil better its more complete seeing as only regular maya complete is on the mac. and isnt maya more for animation stuff? cuz i was just wanting to create 3d stills, and maybe some occaisional animation

Yeah maya is for more animation of objects. If you are looking for cool still shots I would go with 3d max...but have fun getting it on the mac.
