you should have been there. 3d was rad. dana flahr opened up with a hUge stomp. sage had a ridicules spine to massive cornice gap flat 3. no triples. more remote locations with pow. but I think re:sessions might have been one up from this...

seth teased the locals crowd announcing tattersal won a bunch of swag. ha.

3d was dope and so was sage/ seth/ macintosh's go pro fotage. other than that it was pretty standard. Again that 3d sammy/ sprigs deal was dope.

could have been better though. Oh yeah jackson footage was baller per usual.

I was obviously looking for a little more explanation than a 3 letter word you tool.

Why the unnecessary hate? Past your bedtime or what?

^^^Actually, I retract my use of the word tool... a little too hipocritical.

That aside, does anyone have any more details. Is 3D something you would like to see in more ski movies or was it kind of cheesy?

I thought it was awsome. when the boys were in the air little chunks of snow would come off their skis and it looked like they flew off the screen into the crow. Very rad I would wach a whole ski movie in 3d for sure....

i hate to say it... but light the wick was a huuuuge step back for TGR. there was an incredible amount of filler and monotone commentary that just killed it. the 3d didn't work at all, it just looked fuzzy. maybe that was just a technical issue or the glasses weren't the best but overall the entire film was lacking.

it's the first ski movie i've seen that i can honestly say i didn't enjoy

I feel the same way. Went to the Bozeman premiere tonight and usually in TGR movies i like some of the big mountain stuff then Sammys part comes up and the park segment but it just didnt do it for me this year. The 3D did not work like i expected. It was affective in some shots where the background was deep and the fourground was really close but otherwise didnt work to much. The 3D took away from the skiing. I was so wrapped up in tryting to see things pop out i would not even realize what trick was happening. PErsonally i would not like to see 3D ski movies unless millions of dollars is put ito creating it like avatar.( I know that will never happen).

All for all was a let down by TGR this year. Most years i think the movie is good. This year it was just Okay, maybe not even that.

I did not like the 3D effect at all. Maybe it was just me, but I couldn't really see anything cool while wearing their blue and red glasses; it just made everything blue and red. Not that cool. Besides that, Sage absolutely destroyed throughout the entire movie. Definitely worth watching just to see him shred. Many other people killed it as well but Sage was the standout for me.

in JH they gave us the tinted realD glasses like what you used for Avatar. It's prolly way better than the red/blue. Sorry that it sucked for you.

oh nice. so it actually looked 3D to you guys? ours was honestly better to watch without the glasses at all

wow then im sure it really sucked for you guys. This years TGR was a steep down. I heard that they put all of their resources into Deeper. The back-country snowboard flick.
