Why doesn't some company come out with a boot thats relatively light. Every pair of ski boots out their must weight like 12 pounds in all, which is probably heavier than your skis. Think about how nice it would be to go skiing in a pair of boots that weigh 5 pounds total.

you need stability under your feet, and light isnt stable. also, light boots would be cold on your feet, and we all hate that

Just because something is light doesnt mean that it can't be warm. And yeah i guess your right stability is important, but look at snowboard boots they are way lighter than ski boots

kneissle are wicked light, super warm, and great boots if you have narrow feet. The used to be called raichle until a few years ago.

yeah, I felt a pair of Kneissl Flexon with the heat molded liner, they are extremely light. And probibly some of the best unkown boots out. Seth Morrison rides them

1080s maybe be light but the Raichle/Knessil flexon boots are the lightest boots on the market ever. Sucks if u hav wide feet though, i have a pair and they are awesome just have to get used to em. Little soft

they are manafacture in Austria I think, and there are ways of making them stiffer. And they are also relativley inexpensive compared to other boots.

what i did is cut the bottom of my boots out and superglued them to my track shoes so they click with the bindings its great you should all give it a try

 
Well, it looks like all of us here at NS have learned to deal with ski boots, and so have all the pro's that go off every year soo...im thinking theres not much of an issue with ski boot weight.
