Anyone here workout pretty seriously? I have been on and off since high school but have been pretty serious for about a year now and it is starting to become addicting.

i was in a weight training class last semester. i got up to 245 on the bench by the end

yeah i go to the gym pretty much everynight and it is addicting.. after a while it just becomes habit.

I used to like crazy, but I dislocated my shoulder last year and it still hurts when I bench press. I'm back to being a twig!

I lift everyday after school for like 1-1 1/2 hours then i go do alittle running to keep up my endurance~I play football so I have ta do this stuff but I dont understand why ppl wouldnt wanna get even alittle bigger

I dont have the mind to lift heavy objects and stare at the wall. I would much rather stay in shpae or get in better shape by actually doing something productive. Something where I can explore and see new things, like mountain biking or hiking mountains that are around here in Maine then skiing them, that is the best workout ever.

 
I was lifting 5 days a week. I was eating protien and carbs, taking supliments, and I had a good friend trianing me (he's huge) and put on literally 2 pounds in 4 months. I lost time and motivation and since I quit I've lost about 5 pounds. I think I'm condemned to being a skinny little indian boy.

i do it to get in shape for baseball, skiing, and you never know when you need to throw a punch. There is not much else to do at college. so i lift. When i was a freshmen in high school, i was a twig, it was pathtic, but i busted my balls, and am now a decent size. It pisses me off cause it's all natural, and people are like, what are you on, or how long have you been on a cycle. I just tell them i've been bustin my ass. Weightlifting is awsome if you get into it.

i am very weak and i play football so my coachs r always on my ass about getting my maxs up. i am at 650 pounds (bench, squat and cleans combined)and need to be at 800 pounds by august. it sucks

I started lifting for baseball, but now that I quit, I still do it. I'm a frickin twig, and I found that it just helps you out in all physical activites, the squats, quads, hammies, and situps really helped my skiing, and now it's just a habit.

Not much else to do at college??? There's always something to do! Its a big drunkfest!

i used to do it a couple of times, for about a month, then quit, then started, then quit, then quit for good, its hopeless i just go out and skate instead

don't do sleep and get 8 hours of drugs
 
i lift weights. i got a cheap weight bench for my birthday and it gets addicting. I like showing my muscles off to the pretty ladies though. even though they are small

The only thing thats bad about lifting is kids that go in and just curl and think their huge even though they cant even put up like 150~my arms are big but i can still bench 250 so w/e

Ya there are just as many posers in the gym than in any other sport. They are fun to laugh at though when they try so hard to lift heavy weights and don't realize that with bad form they are doing more harm than good.

lifting weights sucks...did it all through highschool..got to 185lbs at 5'8, then went to college and started racing triathlon for school...now a just race, lifting is boring and indoors exercise sucks ass

I used to be loyal to the gym.. I would work out for an hr at school with my friends and my soccer team and then go to the gym for another hr 90 mins afterwards but then injuries sidelined me adn I dont have the motivation to get back in the gym... how do u guys deal when ur injuried and lack the motivation to get back into ur old routine!?!?!?

When I get hurt I dont really lose motivation~it makes me wanna work harder to get back to the spot where I was before I got hurt
