Lifting Help

Ok, i was wondering if any of you that work out know some easy excersizes or weight lifting techniques to workout and build up your lower back and lower sides, that area above your hips.

i have ab's but im just trying to strengthen these 2 areas and was looking for some pointers

 
For the back and sides, do bridges, like hold up your body weight while only touching your fore arms and feet on the gound. For like a mintue or a little less, hold yourself up, on both sides, and then on your back with your arms behind you and on your heel. Whatever part of your body is on the bottom side is being worked. This is more of a stretching, type static core strength, I doubt you will see any muscular definition any more tho

if you have access to a decline bench, come half way up and start turning side to side at a moderate pace. it's kinda hard to describe...

 
Get an exercise ball, and do like a sit up, only on your side, and then on your stomach. Also, go to a gym, they have machines built specifically for that. Power clean will help, cus it supposedly works every muscle in your body.

we have a machine at school that you sit in and add weight then rotate your upper body to the left, then switch and go to the right. i think it works the "love handles" mostly but also the lower back.

you can also do crunches with a weight on the chest

at my school we have a thing that u lie on ur stomach n at ur waist theres a cylender padded bar n u do situps but go down to the ground so ur looking down and go down to a 90 degree angle n then come back up. works betta if u hold weight while doing it. so instead of lying on ur back ur on hips with the top half of ur body in the air n u do upside down situps.

do a intense core rutine including 60 normal sit ups 30 side ups (per side) then do super mans (lay on your stomack and lift your legs 20 reps then your uper body 20 reps then both legs and uper body at the same time 20 reps) and if you can find some thing that you can lay on your stomack on with your upper body off of the edge and your legs supported by some one or some thing and do back ups 40 reps. do it at least 3 times a week after the first week begin to add wieght to the back ups as you get stronger you can add wieght to the rest of the rutine.

its important to stregthen all of the muscle groups in that region uniformly or it will cause back problems if a muscle is more than 30-40% stronger then its opposite it leads to injuries and bad shit
