so im getting my 185 arvs in on thursday, and i have a pair of rossignol power 140s with the lifter plate, i ski like 70% backcountry/trees/all mountain, and like 30% park, would it be good for me to put those rossis on or should i get something without a lifter plate- i dont really know what the difference would be? thanks!

The lifter plate gives you more levrage so you can go edge to edge faster... it will give you more control over the ski when you skiing all mountain. Most kids flat mount their park skis because you dont want the extra levrage when your stomping a jump. Sounds like the lifter wont hurt you... i wouldnt bother spending the money on a different set of bindings

if you have power 140s, there are screws that would accomodate the binding without the lifter. you dont have to mount it with the lifter

yeah i just cant decide weather i wanna put it on with the lifter or not, i guess ill think about it some more

Given your terrain prefs, I would say just keep it on. A small bit of lift won't affect your park skiing that much.

I use those with the lifters for park only and I have no problems doing anything, it's only a few MILLImeters.

Unless you want to rip groomers, don't use the lifter plate. For powder or park you want to be closer to the snow so you can keep your center of balance lower. They normally do more harm than good.
