im a liftie. just get super stoned all day sniff some percocet. whoever the dude as who said it was hard work is a pussy. easiest shit ever.
 
when i work top i bring my laptop...i watch the office and whatnot hehehe...its not hard at all...you just gotta position yourself so u can see where they unload...bottom is alot harder...chairs are pretty heavy if theyre 500 lb quads...also sooo many more people fall at the bottom....fuckin pisses me off....in a half hour tonight i had 5 fuckin people fall trying to get on
 
I'm a lifty on whistler... And yes the job can be demanding when its shit weather
you are standing there soaking wet cold....
But its dope they move me around between creek gondy, red chair and peak chair so I get to be all around...
Other liftys are chill so there is alot of banter that goes on. And on big mountains like whistlerblackcomb we only operate the lifts if something fucks up we just call maintenance.
and being at the top of lifts is the most chill place... all you have to worry about is making sure the offload ramp is good and people dont fall...
And as for people talking about pulling passes.... Most mountain staff can pull passes.... mountain safety, Patrol, Liftys. Managers, Supervisors...
 
I had my end of season bonus threatened to be taken away because my supervisors found out I was bringing my laptop to my shack.

I wish my experience could have been as cool as some other people in this thread, I guess its just the Aspen skiing company.
