one time a laddy fell over in a MT snow lift line and broke her legg

i couldnt stop loughing and every body was all for real

then i got pissed because it took so long to get on the lift

(we were in the front of the line)
 
my friend and i (who were 14 and 16 at the time) told this lady that we worked at the local high school in the science department and taught a new sport which is a cross between fencing and skiing....we had lightsabers with us and everything

she believed us and it was pretty funny
 
at the beginning of the season when we had no snow i was almost to the top of the lift, and i spotted my friend (our lodge is at the top of the hill). He was doing ski patrol for the day, but he didnt have any of his gear on, he was waiting for me to get off the lift first...I'm like 8 chairs back from the top, and I look ahaed and all of the sudden this 8 yr old kid in the chair in front of me just falls off teh lift. he landed on a rock and both skis came off....my friend runs down to him and the kid gets up and starts running away, like he thought he was in trouble....my friend got to where hte kid was and sat down and started laughing at him.....we actually ended up teaching that kid how to slide the pontoon rail later in the season
 
when i was like ten, i was alone in the chair lift at morinheights(quebec) and the chair kinda it on of those big post and fell down about 25 feet on the ice while i was in it.

got a concussion and a week later i was back snowboarding( it's probably why the chair fell, i was snowboarding at that time)
 
i was on the lift with my sister (who snowboards) and when we get off, suddenly i hear ppl yelling and i turn around, (they stopped the entire thing) cuz this kid fell when he tried to get off, and one of the chairs almost wacked him on the head..lol.
 
i got in a fight with my second cousin and after we stopped punching eachother my goggles were cracked and his were gone

so we jumped off the lift at the only possible spot, we were already late to meet people so we didn want to go to the top

and it was about 15 ft high but there was pow so it was all good

we couldnt fine his goggles of his glove and went down and there they were on a pole so we took em then went off haha
 
my buddys and i were all on a lift and a kid we ski with that we all rip on was on the lift in front of us, so my friend yells "HEY OWEN!! you tell the people your riding with that you;ve got leprosy!?!"
 
This little kid like 5-6 years old was getting on the lift and he must of started to fall off when he got on. So after the lift had gone about 30 ft he was just dangling on to the lift with one arm. So all these ski patrol guys go over and catch him when he falls. I was gonna film it with my phone but i felt wierd wipping my phone out and taping some kid falling from a lift because there were people all around me.
 
once me and my friend were on the chair goin over the park at liberty and we chucked a snowball at a snowboarder and it hit him rite in the balls and a patrol was standing like rite besidde him and he was like hey do u wanna get your tickets taken away...
 
my friend wanted to grab some snow off his ski so he grabs the back of the chair and bends all the way down. then the back of the chair broke off and he fell straight on his head. it was sooo funny
 
i was waiting in line at the bunny hill (the bus stop was at the top) and its these foreign people's turn and they have no clue what to do so they stop the lift and they go forward. the lift was stopped like right behind but not to them yet them so the lifties tell em to sit down and they both just sit down and miss the lift completely and fall on their butts. ah it was hilarious at the time.

then this one time this little tiny kid didnt make on the lift all the way so he kinda got pushed and fell off right after he got on and face planted in the snow. it was kinda sad thought. he was cryin after.
 
for some reason i always feel bad when i see little kids fall, im sympathetic for the future NS members
 
a friend of mine were takin the lift as usualy, and suddenly that oil thing just exploded. and he got all green or blue, dont remember : P but jeah he were covered with oil : P hehe

he got free clothes from the store there : D
 
ok this is real, this one time I was in line talking to my girl and we had a couple people with us that wanted to ride with us, but I ski with a boner when I'm with my girl 'cause she's hot and rips, so I'm turning her on and we wanna FUCK! so at the lift we ditch our friends by leaving them behind us and we get on the lift and my dick is out, she gives me head the whole way up, a couple people saw us from the bottom but who cares, I didn't finish on the lift to we get to the top and I had to zip it in and we race into the woods right away to FUCK, and yes it was awesome, right off the trail were we could see people and they could hear us, now we FUCK in the woods every season cause there's nothing better than FUCKING in the woods in ski boots.

this was in PA this past season:

it snowed a bunch and then rained the next day and then the day after that it got all icy... and some dude dropped his snowboard off the lift and some girl was like I'll go get it...and it was in the woods on like a super steep hill...and u know how they clear out under the lifts well this girl tried to walk down on the ice and get it on snowboard boots... slipped and slid 300 ft into the woods hitting everything in sight...trees, boulders, rabbits you name it.

She was airlifted out to some hospital with some broken legs and ribs and wrist and i think her dome was banged up bad too. the ski patrol guys had a fun time climbing up the ice to get her.

and anothertime some guy got his camelback stuck on the lift when trying to get off and the lift attendant wasn't watching and stopped the lift so he was alike 25 feet in the air and then he fell because his camelback strap broke.
 
ive been told its illegal to ski switch without a rear-view mirror attached to my helmet in order to see where im going
 
2 quick stories

i was ridin up the northstar lift at okemo and as we were goin over the frozen creek and rocks i noticed that all the snow below me turned from white to red, it was blood! it was the most disturbing thing ive ever seen on a mountain, the next run up i noticed ski patrol was shoveling all that bloody snow out of there so nobody else would freak out... so a couple runs later i met this guy that said he saw what happened. apparently a little girl slipped under the safety bar and fell a good 35ft or so and didnt make it. it was a very dark day for okemo.

at smugglers notch, i was on the lift and saw sum asshole plowin thru the powder uncontrollably, and they have these pretty deep indents where the pipelines were and his tips dug into the bottem of one and was double ejected and did a flip while traveling a good 20-30ft down the mountain while his skis stayed there in a parallel 90degree angle,,,, very funny

Probly the scariest moment on lift for me was at Jay Peak... The winds were going crazy, we were on The Bonaventure Quad and it just got insane. The wind almost blew the chair into the side of the post and our backs were almost facing the ground. My dads ski popped off cus it was set to loose and the person behind us lost his hat. Needless to say the instant we got off that chair we booked for the nearest glade... This was all during a middle weekend in march this year.
 
i feel you jay gets redic from what i've heard. luckily i visited after 2 feet of powder dropped in MARCH. i'd put up with the shitty weather for the overall skiing dankness
 
i was getting off the lift and had my poles between my legs. the poles got caught on the chair and i jerked forward and was hanging by my balls until i fell off from like 6 feet up. the guy didn't even stop the lift
 
Me and my friends play "The Last Minute Game". Where you put the bar down and pull it up at the very last second. You should try it...
 
ok so the last weekend in April, my dad, sister and I bomb up to vermont to get our last runs in. We get up there at about one, and we stop at sugarbush (we all have passes). My sister feels like shit so she's not gonna ski. My dad stays with her. FIRST RUN. I get on the chair, ride it, almost to the top. power surge. High speed lift comes to a complete stop and Im alone on this quad pretty much shitting my pants. The chairs bouncing all over the place, and if i didnt have my bar down, i would have fallen out and busted my legs or somthing. I was completely horizontal to the ground at one point. Kinda sucked. I was stuck for 20 mins.

Moral of the story? I love safety bars
