Life Philosophies?

Just curious what some of you guys think just generally, overall, about life, like what religion or philosophical ideals you follow, or just some thoughts.

I'm sure there are some interesting things to come out of it.

live your life one day at a time, have as much fun as you can but within reasonable limits....drink have sex, smoke herb, all within moderation

ya man for sure! as far as religion goes i dont follow any specific religion but i think buddhism has some really good ideas.

im part of the religion that doesnt believe in religion. Personally i think if you need god (or who ever your religion looks up to) for faith (or what ever for), that you are not as strong and independant as someone who can concour the same task without the need of someone else to watch over and make sure everything goes ok. Like when i was young i prayed to god that my grandparents who were sick for them not to die, and they both did within that year. Followed by my great aunt then great great grandmother. So personally i think that believing in god is an insecurity, and you are a stronger person if you can do it on your own. NOW dont hate or bash, this is just my person opinion, and everyone is allowed to have that.

As far as life goes, i just enjoy sleeping in, golfing, hanging out with buddies, drinking, and chillin with girls. I think that if you respect others you get respect back, and i also believe that absolutly everything happens for a reason and if something happens, figure out why, and learn from it; this ultimatly will also make you a stronger individual.

im not sure if this really answered the question posed, i kinda just rambled on..

-dont take shit too seriously

-if god exists, good for him for making this shit, but thats all the props he gets

-money is just money

i honestly think life is just about living. my parents are pushing school on me because i have to get good grades and make it into university and all this shit. but will all that matter? im going to die eventually. so why not just not worry about that stuff and live life to the fullest.

its about finding a place to put your stuff, clothes cars whatever, if you didnt have stuff you wouldnt need a house that bad- carlin

dude. University is the shit. LOTS of hot females, lots of weed, parties if you want. If you take interesting classes its not that bad.

Then once you have a degree, you can make money more than likely and have fun.

Skiing is basically my religion. I believe in evolution. You got to spend money to make money. Find something you are interested in and practice it. Learn as much as you can while you are here.

yo so true

i was thinkin bout that in the shower a while back, i broke down everything i couls think of and came up with that

live to ski another day.

oh, and

Loose Pants, Wide Stance, Fat Skis, Skinny Bitches.

it's just how we roll.

i dont believe in religion, i believe in freedom. freedom to believe what you wish and freedom to create your own boundries. religion sets rules. some are harsher than others. some are so harsh that they start a war (as we all know). if i dont wanna believe in god or supernaturality, i dont have to. thats what i love about living in a free country.

i like to live my life to its fullest. enjoy every day as much as possible, and have money to burn. i also want an education and the freedom to choose my own career. money is becoming an issue but i am doing my best to counteract. i believe technology is a good thing, if used properly. there are those who misuse it to make weapons and such, but if the human mind can produce such techonological ideas, why not reward that power with the pysical techonolgy?

this is all i can think of right now. may add to it later

nah rynos life is about busting people who make 3 stupid little threads in a cult that pretty much doesnt exist and getting them banned.

A situation can flip 180 degrees for you if you simply change your attitude. Try to have a good outlook on everything and you will find yourself content most of the time.

My motto in life is simply "shit happens". If anything goes wrong dont let your whole day go to shit because of it. Just say to yourself "hey, shit happens. nothing I can do about it now" and try and go on with the rest of your day with a smile.

To enjoy every minute that we are here because you never know when it´s gonna end Huuuge cliche I know but for me it´s true,

Also, Smile and get a smile back. even called karma.

I believe that sometimes life is too short and you have to take risks that may or may not be questionable...and just have limits on what you are going to do...but live life dont be a couch potato

-You have no purpose in life, you only exist. Consequentaly, life is what you are able to make of it, although your will can only do so much to change things around you.

-Never count on anything good.

-Everything comes to an end at some point.

let go of things that truly do not matter.

JUST LET GO!

as its only when you've lost everything that you're truly free to do anything.

alright. so here is another thing i beleive.

ok so after living in a house with my dad for 16 years, i have realized that i cannot let little shit bug me. my dad is the biggest bag of stress i have ever seen and he rarely stops. little things throw him over the edge and his like modo is "there are no accidents just careless people" and that is the way he thinks for everything. i could accidentally drop a glass and he would give me a lecture about how i was being careless and that should have never happened, when it wasnt a big deal and could easily be fixed.

so that is why i take on the attitude of dont let little shit bug you. you will have a lot less stress and be able to enjoy life a lot better.

the best quote i have ever heard is "Every second of your life is either spent working towards your goals or working against them." If i am ever being super lazy, I think of this and go jump on the tramp or something. Live life to the fullest for sure.

"no regrets, that's my motto...that, and everybody wang chung tonight"

-Out Cold

But seriously...live life to it's fullest

oh, and this from the mouth of Pep Fujas

"Over time, most people experience life involving love, suffering,

compassion and an unspeakable drive for something new...For me there's

skiing, nothing more nothing less and it encompasses everything,

everyday I'm out there."

I see people post fairly frequently about how Buddhism has good ideas. I'm not saying it doesn't...But do those of you who are saying that actually know anything about Buddhism?

it doesnt really matter if you do or not...

i think buddhisim teaches some really good ideals and thats great...

but i like worldly pleasures a little too much to actually be a practicing bhuddist...

but atleast you can take something good from it you know ? thats all that really matters

Yeah, I just found it ironic, because skiers are about the least likely group to give up all pleasure or desire for pleasure in order to cease to exist. ya know?

is it rediculous?

starting at age 5 or 6, we begin our education. and for 17 more years we slave away in school. why? all the years we're in school, is for one purpose. to get a job. to make money.

i dont disagree that there are smaller life philosophies like "live each day like its your last". but when you look at it as a whole, you cant survive without money, which is what our society has become.

yea i agree. if you look to the fact that money doesnt affect our soul or personality (well it can if you run into financial situations). but you cant do anything without money. hell you cant even live. unless you wanna rob grocery stores for a living and sleep under a bridge. but that doesnt really sound too appealing now does it?
