LIBtech NarrowAssSnowboards LEGIT?

i have them, have been riding them for a month
what you need to know: very stiff, the slight rocker gives them some play, theyre kinda wide, stirdy on jumps, fun on rails, good construction (i have 2 cracks in the edge, but i ride everyday, only rails all the time, and am 6'2 200lbs)
overall: 8/10
 
^^^good description. I have a pair that's 2 years old, no rocker. They are a little heavy and stiff. But they are fun to ride and can take abuse. They're a good all mountain ski. The magne traction is bonus Especially if u ski the east coast.
 
They work really well in the pipe because usually a pipe is icy. The magne traction is ment so you don't slip out on the ice. And it is quite effective. They are really stiff so look out and the top sheets chip easily.
 
The old anthems i was riding we're 17 pounds with the garbage binding i threw on em, the LIB's are around 10 with the decent binding i threw on
 
The Magne-Gimmick is like a wavelength, it works really well at one speed, once you get it at a faster or slower speed than what its designed at it gets a bit sketchy.
 
I don't like that they will not even refer to them as skis, but they'll sell them to skiers. Just trying to keep up their image while getting into our sport. Small detail, but lame nonetheless.
 
I was not impressed with them at our mtn's tradeshow... Plus the Lib tech reps were kinda pretentious douches!
 
yeah if lib tech doesnt want to be part of the ski industry why make skis? it makes the company look bad. Theres plenty other companys who make better skis who actually call their skis -well- skis. If I were you I would go with a differant brand. IMO

1. its a joke, theyre a snowboard company, they produce so few skis each year compared to snowboards that they realize the division is more of a money loosing experiment than anything and can kid about it
2. they build a good product and don't actually harm the industry so who cares?
 
File those cracks out before they lead to more damage! Seriously, those cracks will keep growing until something breaks or they're removed. Taking a file/stone to the edges will remove some of the case hardened material which will make it less likely for new cracks to initiate.
 
everyone knows that snowboarding is cooler than skiing, so we should really start calling skis "Narrow ass snowboards..."
 
The point of the magnetraction is to act like a mildly serrated blade, giving you deeper edge penetration even on hard pack, this negates the need to have razor sharp edges. However, if necessary; get yourself a file and be a man about it. A couple hours on the tech bench getting to know your planks, i can think of worse things to be doing. Also having worked in a tech shop, if it takes you more then a couple hours to sharpen your edges w/ a file...seek medical aid, your probably retarded...
 
while i have never skiied a NAS, so i cant comment on their performance, i do have to disagree with everyone who says they are solid construction

I have seen NAS with the base almost a mm below the edge, i've seen countless de-lams on GNU boards (same company) which have not been warranteed (bullshit) and ive seen edges, not break, but detatch from the boards for a couple of inches on libtech and gnu boards.

After seeing what i have in the past 5 months i would never purchase anything made by gnu or libtech, ever.
 
I never buy from anywhere that doesn't warrenty me, i don't mean the company that makes them, i make sure whoever i buy it from as a company is willing to trust their product. the shop i use gives me 1 year, anything i do short of running them over with a bus, they'll replace them no questions.
