Liberty Sponsorships

Hey, I was wondering how liberty is with sponsoring riders? I rode some liberty KGB's last year and loved the way that they ride but by the end of the year i ended up snapping them. So now i'm trying to find out if i could get a sponsorship out of the ordeal.

You could just warranty them. Then you could pretend you're sponsored since you got free skis.

But why would you want to be sponsored by Liberty anyway if they make wack skis?

yeah i bought mine off another kid so im not really sure about the warranty thing. But i actually loved the way they rid in the park until they snapped off a BC booter

everyone who has ridden libertys has broken a pair, I used a pair for the first time at the water ramps and literally broke them in the first 15 mins i was there

for about 3 seconds i thought this was a serious thread...then i looked at how many posts the guy has

i've watched hornbeck shred the new libetys soooooo damn hard and not once seen a pair break or get fucked up

i've come to the conclusion that while libertys used to be wack... they are officially dope as aids

So true. The last two seasons of Liberties are bomber. Anyone that knocks on them hasn't been on a newer pair and are simply ignorant. I think Wallish would know.

it actually is a completely serious thread

i think you having momentskis in your name might actually damage the company income if you continue to act like a douchebag

yeah i dont think there has every been a thread about someone liking liberty skis

they are all "OMG I BROKE MY SKIIZORZ"

"everyone who has ridden libertys has broken a pair, I used a pair for the first time at the water ramps and literally broke them in the first 15 mins i was there"

you broke yours on the water , skis are not made for water ramps and will break in about 15mins. thats why you see layers of fibre glass on the olympic dudes skis, so they dont break, so you would have to 'glass' your Libs to have them hold up for weeks

if you snap a pair of skis, does that mean you'll get sponsored?

cus if thats the case, i think im going to trash my chronics!

If you have any serious questions about Liberty or their skis, I would be happy to answer them, just message me. These forums are not an appropriate place to vent your frustration for breaking your 4 year old pair of skis. I'm surprised they (or any ski for that matter) lasted that long to be honest.

Liberty's used to suck, now they don't. In fact, they are some of the most bomber skis I have ever ridden on personally. They used to be too stiff and fall apart, now they are almost impossible to break. It takes companies a few years to figure out what works and what doesn't, and Liberty has figured it out better and faster than anyone to date.

They are using new more elastic glues, as well as edges that are slightly less hard so when you grind on them, they become naturally tempered to the correct hardness rating. Not to mention light bamboo cores, 2000 race bases, and overall the best materials available in the world to make skis.

even though karma doesn't mean shit, you are still a dumbass. its a joke, it wasn't directed at you or your uncle, so suck a d

of course maybe you were joking, hope so

maybe some people dont find it much of a joke especially when they have been effected by cancer in someway, what part of talking about cancer can you find to joke about? and your cancer 'jokes' dont have to be directed to anyone imparticular for people to get angry about it. grow up

shits true... in the last season, hornbeck put 2 edge cracks in the libertys he rode.... and 2 edge cracks from a pro skier spread between the couple pairs he rode? Shit is bomber quality.

despite the fact that everything you said is totally legit, your name makes this post hilarious.

Ehhh... He coulda ignored the whole thing if he didn't care. He didn't have to get on here and hype it. I doubt it's part of his contract to "defend Liberty,as a company, on the internet, to stupid kids".

I didn't have to post in this thread either, but I am. I'll admit when I first got Liberty choppers a couple years ago I was sooo dissappointed by them. They delammed, were race ski stiff, and just shitty skis. They got better when they released the SB, and started working with Sidewall construction and bamboo cores. This year they really were the most bomber skis I've had. I went the entire season on one pair of Laroses. Edge cracks, and that's it. No delams or anything. And, it's the most i've ever skied in a season, and the hardest.

I've snapped STL's, delammed 1080's underfoot, mutilated TM's, and that was all when I was like 120 pounds. Bottom line, don't base a company off of it's previous years line. All it takes is one simple change to take something from shitty to dope.

Most of the people that talk shit on the ski construction base it off of what they've heard, or the old skis. And I bet anyone that has broken a pair will say they were treated well and had a a great customer service experience.

KGB is tha shittiest ski ever made

if you want the email address of there team organizer manager whatever....PM me

i posess it

all there next year skis are super legit, hazmat is amazing for next year, no more bamboo sidewall bullshit

I must say i was pleasantly surprised by my KGB's i rode all year long. I won them at the end of last season and expected to be back on my busted ass fujatives within a few weeks after hearing all the hate on here about Liberty but i figured hey what's it hurt to give them a shot. I rode them all season, skied aboout 50 days on them including some days in CB cruising over rocks and crud and I have absolutely nothing wrong with them minus a few cracks in the edges. Now that they are broken in they aren't terribly stiff, and that should mean something coming from someone who has always ridden fujatives before. Surprisingly my skis outlasted my look bindings... Liberty is definitely not wack and I wouldn't hesitate buying a pair in the future.

If they can handle me landing frontflips in the backseat like this...

there is nothing to complain about.

sorry that's a small picture...

hopefully that's a little better. But my point is if they can withstand multiple slaps like that... they are a pretty solid ski
