Liberty Snowflex

Before I get told to use the search bar, I already did and didn't find much helpful information that was recent/posted in the last year.

Anyway, me and a couple friends are planning a trip down to Lynchburg to ski and I want to make sure the 6 hour drive from Pittsburgh is worth it.

First, how does snowflex feel on your skin and landing on it? I've heard it's kind of like turf (I've had enough experiences with turf burn through football) and you have to wear long sleeves but that would blow in 90 degree summer heat. And is landing on the surface tougher on your body than actual snow? Also, do they open the airbag to the public during non-camp hours? I want to work on bigger spins, corks, rodeos, etc. but I'm not tryna die doing it on the normal jumps.

Last question. Does the surface fuck up your skis? I only have 10 days of use on my current skis and I'd hate to ruin the bases or something this early.

It's not bad but you def want long sleeves. Get something light if you can. Doesn't hurt to have a shirt tucked in a bit too. If you slide down the landing of the jump on your back you can get some burn action going on.

Surface feels kind of like turning on ice that just started to melt. You can edge but it's hard to get a clean turn. At least for me but it's not a problem getting around or hitting things.

I had fun. Don't know about the bag.

Inb4 theclap returns to NS just to bitch that I posted in another snowflex thread even though I only made one trip there forever ago

And I really don't worry about bases that much. It's really not that bad. Maybe wax em good first or something if you're worried. If you ski park regularly I don't think snoflex should be much of a concern for your skis.

I would wear long sleaves and pants, but under the snowflex theirs a couple inches of foam so I dont think it hurts as much to fall on snow except for the burns. Its baciaclly velcro. The only affect on your skis is that the snowflex gets all shreded up and you will be picking it out of your bindings for awhile. Other then that it dosent do much.
