Liberty Snowflex

hey i was looking at going at a camp there. I know there are a few threads but i was wondering if anybody knows anything else

I dont know if a camp there would be that much fun. Because it is so small and a lack of professional teachers I feel the extra 600 dollars would go better taking a trip out to whistler or hood. I will be going there a few times this year and a bunch of skiers should just meet up and shred for a few days. cheaper and everyone would puch each other

my friend went, its hot as balls so you only throw down hard like evening, wear under armour so you dont get serious rugburn, and the jumps are so nice with a really long landing so you can send it pretty deep

i'm considering going because i live in pittsburgh. But i suck terribly, i'm just getting into freestyle skiing here in the last 2 months of my short season..

My friends brother works there, free passes for me. It's like ten dollars an hour, so it can be pricey but it's super fun. Oh, and they just added Olympic sized tramps and a foam pit for progression. Get stoked.

so freaking hot. lynchburg is the epitome of gnarly eastcoast weather. be prepared to be hot as fffff. also, you could potentially get gnarly rug burn

umm....first of all liberty is sick kids are landding dubs there imagine having one jump but a superfast ropetow so in 2 hour you get like milions of hits and the rails are top notch i would recomend going

340$ for full dryslope, jumps/rails, ropetow, tramps, skateparks, and tons other stuff vs the only 2 other places on east coast whaleback and ohio dreas where you can only hit jib parks for 900$ + ? how can you go wrong...even if the heats a factor, do some outdoor activities before going and get more conditioned to it and it will help.

all i know is that camp for 340$ riding during the summer is sick and iwill be there.

libertys sick i went there in october and everyones reall chill and there jumps are perfect for learning on in hurts less than snow and u dont have to worry about heat being an issue b.c they have a misting system which sprays water on it all the time its kinda like sliding down a slip and slide just on skis

I know they tried to get insurance to have a Big Air bag, but they just couldn't get it from anyone so they went with the trampolines and foam pit instead.

I blatantly said in the beginning that i knew that there were already threads but thanks for the clarification. definatly helpful

Yeah really, who cares about heat, try roofing in the summer and you will never feel hot again doing anything else.

place is so much fun just gotta sesh at night not during the day time or you'll fry haha and deff wear under armor or something cause if not you will prob bleed if you fall just saying other than that its great i'm surprised you dont see more edits from that place on here...

Has anyone that has signed up already heard anything back from them yet? A few of my friends and I signed up about 2 weeks ago but they did not ask for a type of payment, i'm assuming it will be mailed but we have heard nothing.

i called yesterday, 5/12/11, and from what i was told, the use of everythin is available..tramps and foam pits included. skateparks...

and regarding payment, everyone registered will get a email soon with more info. they told me that you can either pay your 340$ at check in when you get there on the Day 1, or you can mail them a check for the money due. also, as long as when you registered and got a confirmation email, you are registered. if you didnt get an email or dont remember getting one or just wanna make sure, just give them a call, they are super nice.

my mom called today and they confirmed that you pay when you get there. Also when you register you dont get an email or anything. they are pretty disorganized

I kinda wish my first post was a little bit more epic.O well.
Anyway, i go to Liberty so i ski snowflex just about everyday and know everyone running the camp. If you want to learn something....dont go. But if your going through ski withdrawal as i am youll prob just enjoy taking a few laps. Its not that big, only one jump (30' kicker and a 15' kicker) and a few rails (flat box, flat bar etc) so its no windell's but its def cheaper and a lot of fun.
Maybe ill see you guys up there.
