Im heading down to liberty to see my bro who goes to college there and ill be hittin up snowflex this Sat. is any1 gona be there? I will also come down 1 or 2 during the summer
 
hit regionals?i'm in DC, so i will make it down a few times this summer.also, big boulder may day is this weekend...
 
well i live a few hours from there but might make one or two trips with some friends, if you are ever going there to ski alone just pm me and some of the kids from my mountain will come ride for a day up there with you
 
Sucks for your brother. That school seems whack, but to stay on topic, im not going down this weekend, i went like 2 weekends ago though and i'll prolly go again pretty soon but not this weekend.
 
i totally agree with this. that school seems really messed up to me but they put in a snowflex center so i can't really complain. i live in Charlottesville which is about an hour from there so i will be there a ton this summer.
 
to those of you who have gone how is it? how many rails and what kind do they usually have set up? Are the rails really sticky? do the jumps feel sketchy as hell or are they fairly legit?

i have been thinking bout heading out there soon with my friends but not sure if its worth the drive from ohio.

he said the jumps aren't super sketchy, but they are smallish, and they don't hurt to fall on.

I went there last august its so fun a pretty surreal feeling to shred in the summer in southern VA hit me up im in DC alot if people on here ever head down there
 
sick yeah im not the best either but its a good time there im hopin i can get down there more this summer idk though
 
Yeaaahhhh real fun. I think they have added some stuff from last summer when i was there, but i'm not sure. It is really fun. nothing better than hitting jumps in the middle of summer!
 
driving down from Pittsburgh and riding all day Saturday...i have Invaders or Urban Punx.
I will also have my 3 dogs....so should be easy to spot...introduce yourself!
 
so the place fucking rullllllllleesss and you will learn more there then snow(shock pad is fucking money..almost kinda feels like a moon bounce?). $5 a fucking hour. There was 5 people total practically on Saturday when i was there. 80 degree sun. Google fucking tan! Endless t-bar laps. SOme of there jibs are large(30ft+ maybe 3 or 4 ft high?) You can take the jumps as deep as you want(doubles can be done). See you there a shit ton this summer. Its the new "ghetto Mt hood" of the east..and im fucking pumped. ANd i think they have some mountain bike stuff too..if your into that.
SOrry i left so fast Saturday! Realized i had to make it 2 hours north to the campground before dark. SUcks to ride for such a short time. Let me know if you head down there again!
 
pics or vid of a dub on snowflex or it didn't/couldn't happen. Would be sick though. Hopefully i'll make it down to see my cousin this summer and hit it up
 
yeah i've seen a video of a straight dub back, but in reality, its not a dub jump. 9's were doable, but i couldn't imagine someone doing dub corks or dub flats.
the jump itself is MAYBE 25-30 feet. yes you can go deep, but it isn't safe because the landing will literally fall away from you.
 
i was at a comp there last fall and a boarder did a dub 9. it's easily dub front or backable. much more than a dub 9 is pushin it. corks up to 10 or maybe 12 are doable. i've seen a cork 10 with a steezy tail grab.

Took my first hit 3 way deep like an idiot.....thought to myself as im falling "Cant believe Im going to get carted out of here on my first fucking hit haha). Was ready to implode on impact....put my feet down and just rode away....shock pad rules!
I thought the qp would ride like absolute shit...couldn't see how it would work well....but its a dream...just like everything there..its "shaped" perfectly because of the construction.
Place is legit as shit...anyone from the east that can't get out west to summer ski camps would be a fool to atleast not try it. Kids in Virginia are going to start getting sick good skiing year around(they cover it with snow in the winter).
Dude working the rope tow talked about a skier hitting the big jump..and gapping all the way over the battleship box? Crazy shit
 
sooo worth it i got my cork 5s down its just if you catch an edge your screwed cause you cant ride out of it but yeah i sent 7s soooo deep but yeah i cant see dub 10s or 12s haha but yeah totally hit it up i talked to the usasa coach up there and they are getting a bag jump for august so im def. hitting that up im telling you guys my bro goes there and says its DEAD ALL THE TIME when i went there was me then freeballin and one of the usasa riders there thats it so you have endless laps just its ill hit it up and get LU snowflex out there
 
i was told if your looking down the slope its on the left side at the bottom by the round picnic tables and they are building a new jump for it they have all the like papers and stuff for it with liability issues and it should be there sometime in august
 
Liberty was pretty sick and the 30ish foot jump was money for a small booter. I learned all sorts of new tricks. The boxes are okay, but when I was there I spent 99 percent of the time on the jump. The landing is soft and super long so you can take it as deep as the snowflex will allow.
Not to mention it is skiing in the middle of the summer, EPIC.

Anyone thats been have tips for what type of clothing i should wear? like new shit or beat up old shit?

your stuff wont get that beat up but every time i go i get so fucking wet from all the sprinklers on the carpet

so as long as you dont care if youre wet than whatever works
 
thannks bro some dude i met was like if you fall you can easily rip up your pants and clothes so i thought id ask from a more legit source
