I saw this link on the right side of NewSchoolers page... anyone know anything about these, cause I had never heard of them before

I promoted my CVS and Stop and Shop card from the inside slits to the outside ones...my Blockbuster and gym ID got pissed off, but I told them, sorry guys, laminated plastics just can't cut it in the big leagues

one word: search. just type in libery skis. there's about fifteen threads on this already.

^^ Thanks for those posts (above). We are very proud to be supporters of Newschoolers.com.

Newschoolers.com is such a great community that even a small, grassroots company like Liberty Skis thinks it is worthwhile to scrape together the money for such a good cause.

Liberty is all about freedom. Freedom to express yourself and even disagree with others, and Newschoolers.com provides that for all of us. So whether you ski on Liberty Skis or not, we are proud, in our small way, to support Newschoolers.com for everybody.

A special note to the post immediately above this one. In the past, some Liberty models were pressed in the Karhu plant which also presses Line's skis.

This year, none of Liberty's pro twin tip models or fat twins are pressed at Karhu. We have spent a lot of time, effort, and money to improve on these designs with the help of some notable pros (and amateurs).

With thanks to all,

Liberty Skis

I got to check out the new C-Note the other day. It's so sick. It has an amazing amount of pop for a fat ski.

I ski switch.

Ya, you have to refresh your bowser - now it is working for me.

I saw the C-Note in Whistler and it looked so dope, and now that I wee the new pix on the site, I have to decide between the 170 chopper and the 180 stealthplane.

Another post a while ago said that the pro twins were a lot tighter than last year's. Any one get to flex 'em? I also heard that getboards.com will have the whole line.

(and thanks for sponsoring NS, Liberty. Props man. We need more companies to give back.)

I saw some prototypes at the Liberty party in Vail last year. I'm bummed that the pro twins won't come in a 160 or so, because I'm a little too short for the 170s.

The 180 had some great pop, and I kind of like the stealthy design. Unfortunately it's for boys. If I could ski big mountain I might try those fat 164s.

this is dope...i will be reppin the stealth's and c-notes next year for sure...they are sick

witty cent is now live on stage!

If I were a guy, I'd say that the fat 164 looked gay. But for me it's not so bad.

I like the pro twin designs of the chopper and the stealth. WHo is the 186 twin for? Shaq? Anyone out there ride such a tall twin? Why didn't they make a 160 instead of a 186? They'd get more customers that way at least.

I like the Cnote design because it is totally unexpected on a ski. I wish they would show the bases. Anyone know if they are black or printed?

And I'm impressed by ANY new company that can make a ski (and isn't owned by K-2!) .

^ Sugarbush, were you at that Liberty party last year? How did you get hooked up to rep? I'm guessing you're northeast.

yeah i just noticed their site is up... pretty dope... i def like the c-note, i dunno what is up with that lightspeed though...haha, look at it

I promoted my CVS and Stop and Shop card from the inside slits to the outside ones...my Blockbuster and gym ID got pissed off, but I told them, sorry guys, laminated plastics just can't cut it in the big leagues

i was at the party last march. skis were sick, especially the c-note. acutally a 186 isn't that uncommon. armada's jp vs. julien is a 191. i like the graphic for the reaper the best.

I like how they pretend that being a small unheard of company is intentional and that they play it off as being 'under the radar'. Wouldn't you want to be promoting your company?

I guess I would think they're OK....just OK. I mean do they really have the stuff to hang with all the first or second year companies like 4FRNT, Ninthward, Faction and Armada?

better to burn out...

...then fade away

well i like the reaper and stealth. the reapers graphics are dope and the demensions are perfect

yeah west wat are they missing, they got the skis, the cloths, stickers, wat else do you want? They are sure to becoming a company to be well heard of.

the feedback we have been getting is super good. Even the negative, its all helping us progress.

As for keeping up with Armada, 4Frnt, ect, we are not really trying to. Liberty was started by skiers that just love to ski. None of us are X Games or Olympic gold medalists, none of us have graced the cover of a major magazine, hosted SNL, or have fat money contracts. We are just skiers who love what we do and want to progress ourselves and provide that type of product to the industry.

We have done all the same research as the big companies, and we hit the same jumps and the same rails. We ski the same powder chutes, drop the same cliffs, and even ski the same mogul runs as all the superstars. The difference is when we do it, it is for fun and love of the sport and not for corporate promotion.

We could spend a lot of $$$ and advertise all over, pay riders thousends of dollars and tell everybody we are the shit, but that is'nt our style.

Before you bash on our company or our products, come ride with us, try our skis, and hang out for a bit. You will see that we are all chill guys and girls who love to ski.

Def check out the new website. Feel free to send me a message and tell us what you think!

i say it sounds like a great little ski company, good luck, and when im back down in CO a couple times next winter, maybe i can demo some pairs.

I think the ski designs look pretty sick.

Keep it up.

what kind of core is in the skis?

what are the weights of the skis?

and what kind of warently is aviable with them?

also you mentioned the line binding. do the liberty skis come with the 4 hole mount or do you need to instal the line adapter plate first?

Sorry man, I'm not bashing Liberty here, infact I think its great more companies are popping up and I'm really stoked to see them sporting this site, but I don't think its fair for you to say or infer that the people involved in these other companies are in it for money or fame or what have you, and not an underlying love of the sport.

I mean, Are you really trying to tell me JP Auclair, Tanner, or Sterbenz, or any of the other athletes or individuals involved in these start up companies aren't in it for the love of skiing?

I KNOW all of these people are in it because they love it. You'd have to be a complete dunce if you weren't. It consumes nearly every last minute of my life. Even when I'm not working, I'm thinking about working. But that doesn't bother me, because I love it (just like you do) and I know that what all of us are doing is making a difference for the better for everyone.

See what I'm gettin at here Spinks?

Lets say you have 10 000 people, about the number of drunken rowdy males at a Flames playoff game. Armed with nothing more than semi-auto 22\'s and flaming Alberta whiskey, this rag-tag group could fight a successful guerilla campaign against 150 000 US troops plus tens of thousands of coalition troops, costing $5 bil a MONTH and lasting at least 2 years. Pretty pathetic considering the US spends more on its military per year than every other country COMBINED.

^^i have to agree with you there, thats the only thing, I also know that skiers are not in it for the money, we all are in it cauz its wat we love to do
