Saw prototypes of the Liberty Skis new wide skis. The new graphics are sick, which is good because the old graphics were awful.

Also heard that the new twin tips are a better rider design model. They have severed ties with those Kreepy Karhu guys I heard.

 
yeah the new fat ski is the c-note and it's stiff as hell. there are a couple of other models as well. you can find them on the internet or at jibij pro shop next year.

Those graphics above sort of stink. The cans are ok, but the stars are gay. The new ones that I saw kick the crap out of those old graphics. Maybe they had to use crap graphics because of Karhu/Line. The one's that Liberty is making on their own will be sooooo sick. Now if I can get my job back as a waiter!!

Lame graphics indeed, but saw NEXT year's and they look sick.

Well. . . I only saw one model ... a big fat ski. And it looked sick. So given that the skis are awesome construction, if Liberty can get some cool art, then I will give them another try.

I give 'em credit for getting knocked down and coming up stronger.

those graphics suck, those skis were pressed by Karhu, and they were the first batch that liberty came out with. All the stuff for next year is fucking sick. Totally re-designed skis, better cores, better materials, better graphics, bettter skis. They will be sick. I'll put some of the new graphics up.

...he died doing what he loved. He will always be rememberd as a great snowboarder, but more importantly as a great friend.

I have actually heard some incredible buzz about Liberty skis out here (Calif). A shop guy (yes, you Malcolm) told me that they take a lot of input from skiers/riders which sounds good to me. They need girl-only skis (some guy on NS told me that these were coming). Also saw a raucous Liberty party in Vail last March. Do you think that there's a risk in buying skis from such a young company? I guess the worst thing is they go bankrupt and my skis break in half. Oh well! (and Malcolm, please stop calling me).

 
I think the companys got a promising future, if they find skiiers who are into the whole acid trip theme.

of course there's going to risks when buying from a new ski company. i mean armada's quality wasn't up to par but hopefully that will change in the future. and improvements are only possible because of the purchases made by their initial customers who decided to take a chance on new company during its startup phase. if you really think that liberty will produce quality skis then you should buy them and support the company. otherwise you'll be stuck with those corporate companies' skis and your available choice of skis will always be limited to what those particular companies choose to produce. smaller companies allow for not just their rider input but are heavily influenced by the comments of customers. i mean just look how liberty is already reacting to posts on this website regarding their graphics.

Some of us like stars - - as long as they're put in the right places. And it strikes me as weirdly male to decide not to buy a ski because it has a star on it. It's not like it will turn you gay. I agree, however, that last year's graphics aren't so great, but that's a dumb reason to write them off. Same with 4FRNT. I hated last year's imagery, and they had no real girl's ski, but I'm willing to try again with them.

 
yeah, I ski on them here out east. Not too many of us here. Lots of buzz about them. Really sick, amazing performance. Next year's graphics will be much better. I have seen some of the new designs.

 
How did you see next year's designs? They're not on their laborious site. I have seen one in Whistler - super sick wide ski, and I saw a guy post an image of a pretty cool airplane. Do you have any other graphics info?

I also heard that they were actually using some newschoolers from this site to help out with graphics. Now that is a very good idea and a long time coming.

 
They are using some of the newschoolers to help with some concepts and graphics. I met one of the guys and he showed me some of them, really sick. Also there are some new fat twin and jib twins coming out. I think they are revamping that website. Smart move.
