Hey, alot of questions are floating around these skis, so, im gonna give you guys a review. Just to let you guys know, my past skis and still riding on skis are line 1260s, troubles, msp, and now the Liberty Chopper.
Alright, well i got the 170, cause its the same height as me, i kinda wanted a smaller ski to fool around in the park with, other than my 180 msps.
So, the flex of this ski is really really stiff. I find that there stiffer than my msps, and the troubles are like shanghi noodles compared to them. Ive never skied on heads, but i have flexed them, and my buddies have ridden them, and im gonna make a safe assumtion that the flex is much like a head mojo 80.
I have yet to take these skis on rails, but the edges seem like the normal width of an edge, same old.
The thing that really impressed me about these skis was the pop in them, when you look at them the (camber?) is so great it looks like they were bent or broken during shipping, its like a trampoline. When i go off jumps i dont feel a difference, its not like omg, im flying higher, it just looks like it has tons of pop.
Construction of the skis is much like a Salomon spaceframe / fisher mix. If you can imagine a Fisher Airstyle ski with a spaceframe put in, these are exactly that.
So far afer a couple days riding them, i love them, im a pretty big guy, 56-57 and about 160, so i like having the stiff ski, and its awesome in pipe i find.
