i have seen all of the liberty skis this season and i really was not that impressed. i give them the benefit of the doubt in the fact that this is only there 5th season.

their skis seemed floppy(especiialy the hazmat) and had bamboo sidewalls. also the cores are bamboo. bamboo is a cool wood giving realyl snappy and responsivness to the skis characterisitics however it is heavier. i dont know if it was just the skis i saw but they seemed inconsistent in the sidewall contstruciton. i really dont like how they are not hand made and how they are made in china. i am pretty sure they are similar skis as the lower quality company called Force. i have only heard negative things about prior skis comming from liberty and personally wouldnt spend the money on them.

when i asked the rep what he thinks about the durability of the ski he was really beating around the bush. however. all that being said. they DO. have a 3 year warentee program. in which case they will either fix it or send you a new pair. the rep also said that he had talked to the ceo of the company and he said that liberty did not have 1 case in the 06-07 season where they did not honour the warentee of the consumer. meaning they will most likley take your skis no matter what which is a major bonus for sure.

I ordered my pair of laroses´s lats march after riding a pair. I loved them. So much flex, but snappy at the same time. We´ll see after a season of abuse.

BTW that is incorrect, they are considerably lighter then most other skis of the same size.

I rode them all last season and all summer at hood. Only broke one pair. and thats skiing a crap ton of days. just edges and stuff. standarrd ski problem most of the time. anyway - the 08 are practically unchanged so i put my money on them beeing sick.

shorelineoftahoe.com has 2007 Laroses for 285 bucks. thats cheap.

They are heavier, so maybe not so much good in the park as other more specific skis, but still suuuuuuuuuuper snappy.

they bend really slow and snap back so fast. Really good for popping off bigger stuff.

And the footprint isnt bad, so the landings are solid.
