anyone have information on these?

all that i have heard is that they take place on sundays at liberty but that is about it.

do they happen in the winter?

if not, when do they start up again?

anyone gone?

i have also heard that people sell and trade stuff there so information on that would also be helpful.

thanks

its weird as fuck.

Bunch of hippies int he middle playing drums every sunday at liberty park, surrounding those hippies are people trying to sell shit ass product.

around that are goth kids

next to that are groups of lesbians (not the hot kind in movies, but straight up lesbians)

beyond that are groups of spanish guys all with pitt bulls on heavy chains

beyond that there should be riot police because all those different groups generally dont mix, but they suprisingly do well together.

All this is true, go there one sunday in may and you'll see

first of all, jah rastafari? wtf?

secondly, you said go there on a sunday in may.

so are they only in the summer/warmer months or do they have them now?

no, they're not happening now. i dont know if there is an exact date for them to start again, but i would imagine when it gets warm again.

it can either be a really cool scene, or really weird. some person was stabbed there, either last year or the year before...

its turned into a huge social scene

i dont know much about whats sold besides tie-dyes either.

drum circles are the shit, I found this one in park city with a bunch of middle age theater hippies. I like it because no one there really slays the djembe, and you really have a chance to feel way good doing your own thing.

I was trying to make a derogatory dirty hippie comment but couldn't come up with anything clever. Even when I was a stoned college kid with dirty hippies for friends I thought the drum circle was a lame scene. I guess if you actually like drum circles, but I wouldn't go for the socializing or drugs. Also, all those groups get along until they don't, and then someone gets shot, which happens occasionally, thus the riot police.

just for the record, i do enjoy listening and taking part in drum circles and i certainly don't mind any diversity (as long as it stays peaceful). Also, i know longer use drugs although i dont mind chilling with people who are. I think i will check some of these out once it gets a little bit warmer out, so in the mean time, if anyone hears about when they are starting up it would be great to know.

its definately a thing worth checking out. i went once...wasnt in the complete right state of mind to witness it all but i could definately see how people get atttracted to that joint. REALLY diverse set of peoples there for sure, but then again if you say your into that kinda thing then youd probably like it fe sho. just go there on a nce warm sunday afternoon and youll see the poeples playing, theyre a bit north of the pond, east side of the park...cant really miss it

because drum parallelograms just get wayyy to crazy with those sharp corners, circles are much safer.

I used to go there and slackline and smoke bud with crazy hippies all the time... they've kind of died down though.

Sunday afternoons at Liberty Park still hold strong to the LARPers and giant groups of juggalos though!
