Liberty or Whitetail?

Simple question: which has a better park? I just moved to Arlington, VA from the Midwest and want to know where to shred. Thanks!

Liberty has a pretty sick park and everything is pretty perfect but the only problem is the lift is AWFUL. Like it’s the main lift to get to the blues so the line gets crazy especially on the weekends. They do have a j bar but it get swamped by racer kids and groms. Whitetails Park is aight and they have a pretty good jumpline right now, but they have a separate lift for only the park. So basicallly

Liberty= clean park , long line/wait

Whitetail= okay park, no line really

I grew up riding 7springs and moved to Virginia about 10 years ago. I tried the Liberty / Whitetail / Roundtop for a few years and decided it was worth the drive to Big Boulder or 7Springs. Springs is about 3 hours each way however their parks are phenomenal in my opinion. It is a long day but worth the trip. If you are debating Liberty or Whitetail, Whitetail has some longer runs and at times decent bumps. Once built, Liberty has a decent park. *Feel free to message me if you ever want to ride to Springs.
 
Roundtop, after the end of january at least. Right now half the slope has snow just waiting in a pile for an event...

Liberty and whitetail look like they are improving but there stuff isnt setup well or maintained half the time. I gave up going to them.
 
Liberty by far imo. Last week the park was really clean, there was a great variety of features (probably the best i've seen in a few years), and i really don't mind the j bar or hiking a bit for the jumps. went to whitetail a few weeks ago and wasn't a fan of the condition of the park, especially the jumps. Also the runs at whitetail were just awful, but that might not bother a lot of the people here.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Springs was one of my regular go to’s when I lived in Ohio. Definitely worth the trip. Made it up for opening week but definitely in search of a closer place for those days where a 3 hour trip just isn’t an option. I hit Liberty last week and wasn’t too disappointed in the park. Made the mistake of doing Whitetail on MLK day and fuck was it a shit show. Lift lines longer than I’ve ever experienced, tracked out/icy conditions and a park/park crew that didn’t seem to give a flying fuck. Going to try my hand at roundtop later this week but Liberty definitely has the upper hand right now.

Anyone in the Arlington area: I’m in Clarendon, HMU if you’re trying to shred. Always down to meet knew homies, especially being the new kid on the block.
 
I’m in Herndon area, about 25 mins from Arlington. I’ve always like whitetail better, but reading through these comments it sounds like liberty might be better this year so far. Just got back from snowshoe over the new year and it’s worth the trip out there.

We got a new park crew manager and basically whole new park crew this year so they’re still working out the kinks I think. We have a decent little set up right now with a jump line on the intermediate slope (nothing huge but still nice), only to get better as we get some colder weather I’m sure. Haven’t made it to Lib or Roundtop this year but I would say Roundtop always has the best park. I live close to Whitetail and so I’m here all the time, typing this in the parking lot actually lol
