i think libert skis have actually been produced by LINE, and i think they're they same thing. right? i dont know

well, all i know about manufacturing is lines are made by a telemark skiiing company or some shit, thats wh their not any good any more

the Karhu factory was used to press the old liberty skis. We have since moved to our own factory. Our skis and the Line skis are completely different.

^ yeah dude, get educated. if you saw the LINE factory tour movie (available exclusivly in the extras of UNspoken) you'd realize the amount of time put into each pair of LINES and the quaity they have. true, support the little guy (Liberty, if you want), but also support the little guy who knows what he's doing (LINE).

Liberty skis were out for now 2 years. Just not advertised. It is not the first year of productions. Riders have skied on them for a while now.

Hey guys lets get somthing straight. There are alot of sick new companies out today and I just have to say that Liberty is new company that has already tried and tested there skis for quit some time now same as Prior or many other ski companies out there . After all do you really think that a ski company would come out on the market with a product that isn't tested and developed properly. No I don't think so Yes Liberty ha tested these skis for a long time that is why they can have total trust in there product and talk about there 3 year warranty. This is huge nobody does that. Liberty would not back there product like this if there was glitches still to be worked out. So weather your getting the C- Notes, Reapers , Choppers , Stealths or any of Liberty's many other skis take all of what I have said into consideration when your thinking of buying somone elses product. Check em out at www.libertyskis.com

Thanks Gigger

the skis them selves look amazing, but the graphics/name is horrible. the only ones that look good are c-notes. im shure the skis are amazing, but you gotta fix those graphics, especially the liberty name. at least do it in a decent looking font. id say go with a pair of older 1260s if hes poor (same thing as this years, bout 200). if hes got a little extra cash, try the liberties out. but im skeptical of a 400 dollar ski with a 3 year warrenty. that seems pretty odd.

in science class i sat down to fast and you know how you can sit on your balls. well i did and i sat down really fast and crushed them and right when i sat down i started puking and fell out of my chair. they teacher laughed. i felt like i could pass out i wanted to die.-*NWFT*nUkkA

so what does liberty have that line doesnt, besides a good warranty and a really gay name?

LIBERTY. theyre the shit. and huge warrenty and they are just cooler in every aspect. no one has libertys, most have lines. liberty YEAHHH

i got in a car crash, got shot at,and attacked by a fucking bobcat. cross country is boring.

Lets give some quantitative reasons now.

Lets start with the biggest selling point.

Warranty: LINE, one year, and youll definitely need it.

Liberty, 3 years, yes three years. If anyone is offering 3 year warranty on ANYTHING, you know itll hold up.

Edges, LINE, skinny ass pieces of metal, less thick than floss.

Liberty, Rockwell edges, very burly and anchored deep into the ski.

Core, LINE, 'Aspen Macroblock Core - Super Lightweight' Note it says NOTHING to even encourage durablitly.

Liberty, 'Liberty Core - Aspen/Birch laminate core with Carbon fiber stringers to provide snap and flex while maintaining torsional rigidity necessary for edge grip. Carbon fiber also keeps the core light and strong while the wood gives it responsiveness and a solid feel.

Liberty Air Core - Liberty Core with the addition of a triaxial fiber wrap to provide impact resistance and durability in park skis. Creates a very light and durable core.

(all the pro models including the chopper have the air core)

Ok, so base materials are generally the same, however LINE doesnt even mention their base material, so Liberty wins again with a Ptex 3000.

Hope this comparison will help anyone trying to make a purchase...

JUST READ THE LINE VS LIBERTY COMPAIRISON HIGHER UP AND U'LL SEE THE LIGHT FUCKER. LINE ALL THE WAY

311 is the Fuckin Shit Mutha Fucka

Now I'll post something made by Jordan Judd from Line just to save you some time.

MY OFFICIAL REBUTTAL...IT'S LONG, BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE DEAL, IT'S WORTH THE READ. NO MORE SPECULATION AND GUESSING...THESE ARE THE REAL FACTS. MY RESPONSE IS ALL IN BOLD SO YOU CAN READ WHAT THE GUY ABOVE ME SAID AND READ WHAT I HAVE TO SAY.

There was another thread i posted this in, but i figure it might help anyone else out that has a question between line and liberty... Ive supported both companies, and i dont have a bias, its just straight fact.

Lets give some quantitative reasons now.

Lets start with the biggest selling point.

Warranty: LINE, one year, and youll definitely need it.

HOW DO YOU KNOW OUR WARRANTY RETURN RATE? WE GET LESS THAN 1% OF OUR SKIS BACK FOR WARRANTY, AND AT THE MOST 10% OF THOSE ARE FOR ACTUAL MANUFACTURER DEFECTS. THE REMAINING 90% OF THOSE ARE IMPACT DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE SKIER THAT WE USUALLY REPLACE FOR A SMALL FEE. WE JUST GO OUT OF OUR WAY TO HELP PEOPLE OUT. NO COMPANY, INCLUDING LIBERTY IS GOING TO WARRANTY A SKI THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY A RAIL, ROCK, STUMP, TREE, OR ANYTHING ELSE. OUR WARRANTY IS RIGHT ON WEBSITE...WHERE CAN YOU FIND LIBERTY'S WARRANTY IN WRITING? AS I SAID BEFORE, ALL WARRANTIES ARE GIVEN ON MANUFACTURER DEFECTS, NOT RIDER ABUSE...DON'T FALL INTO THE TRAP OF BELIEVING THAT YOU CAN GO OUT AND BREAK SKIS FOR THREE YEARS BY BUSTING THEM UP ON HANDRAILS AND LIBERTY WILL KEEP GIVING YOU FREE SKIS. IF YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE ISSUE WITH A LINE SKI, NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU'VE HAD IT, YOU CAN CALL OUR FULL TIME, 3 PERSON CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF TO HELP GET YOUR PROBLEM RESOLVED...WHO ARE YOU GOING TO CALL AT LIBERTY? WHAT SHOP ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE YOU SKIS TO WITH LIBERTY? YOU MIGHT BE LUCKY IF YOU LIVE CLOSE TO ONE OF THEIR FOUR DEALERS.

Liberty, 3 years, yes three years. If anyone is offering 3 year warranty on ANYTHING, you know itll hold up.

Edges, LINE, skinny ass pieces of metal, less thick than floss.

WE USE A REGULAR EDGE ON OUR ALL MOUNTAIN SKIS AND THE 1260 ONLY. ON THE CHRONIC, PRO MODELS, AND CHRONIC MINI WE USE ROCKWELL 48, 1.7mm EDGES. THESE ARE THE FATTEST, HARDEST EDGES YOU CAN GET. WE DON'T USE FATTY EDGES ON THE 1260 BECAUSE WE WANT TO MAKE IT AFFORDABLE. WE DON'T USE FATTY EDGES ON OUR ALL MOUNTAIN SKIS BECAUSE THE FATTER THE EDGE, THE MORE WEIGHT YOU ADD TO THE SKI, AND THE MORE FRICTION YOU CREATE ON THE SNOW, SLOWING THE SKI DOWN. FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR THE MOST BOMBPROOF SKIS EVER MADE, TRY THE CHRONIC AND OUR PRO MODELS.

Liberty, Rockwell edges, very burly and anchored deep into the ski.

BY SAYING YOU HAVE A ROCKWELL EDGE YOU AREN'T SAYING ANYTHING...ROCKWELL IS A HARDNESS RATING. IT DEPENDS ON THE ROCKWELL RATING AND THE OVERALL WIDTH OF THE EDGE. YOU CAN HAVE A 1.2mm ROCKWELL 48 EDGE, LIKE ON OUR 1260s. THESE ARE SUPER HARD, BUT ARE NOT AS THICK.

Core, LINE, 'Aspen Macroblock Core - Super Lightweight' Note it says NOTHING to even encourage durablitly.

FIRST OFF, WE USE THE HIGHEST QUALITY WOOD CORES AVAILABLE. MACROBLOCK CORES USE ULTRA WIDE, KNOT FREE HIGH QUALITY WOOD LAMINATES. BY USING A WIDER LAMINATE, YOU REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF GLUE IN THE CORE, THUS REDUCING WEIGHT, BUT ALSO INCREASING DURABILITY OF THE CORE. BY HAVING LESS GLUE, YOU HAVE LESS MATERIAL TO BREAK DOWN DUE TO SHEARING OVER TIME. AS YOUR SKI FLEXES BACK AND FORTH, THOUSANDS OF TIMES, THE MATERIALS IN YOUR SKIS BREAK DOWN. THAT'S WHY AFTER 100 DAYS OF RIDING, YOUR SKIS DON'T FEEL AS SNAPPY AS THEY ONCE DID. OUR MACROBLOCK CORES ARE THE LONGEST LASTING OUT THERE. ADDITIONALLY, WE USE ASPEN MACROBLOCK CORES IN THE 1260 FOR 2 REASONS. ONE, IT COSTS LESS, SO WE CAN GET THE PRICE DOWN FOR YOU, AND TWO, IT WEIGHS LESS...GO PICK UP A 1260 AT YOUR SHOP. IN ALL OUR OTHER MODELS, EXCLUDING THE MOTHERSHIP FLITE, WE USE MAPLE MACROBLOCK CORES. MAPLE IN AN EXTREMELY HARD WOOD. BY USING MAPLE WE CREATE A MORE POWERFUL, AND DURABLE CORE. MAPLE OVER THE EDGES OVER YOUR SKIS MEANS MORE STRUCURAL STABILITY.

LINE PIONEERED CARBON FIBER STRINGERS IN SKIS WITH THE CARBON OLLIE BAND OVER THREE YEARS AGO. IN ADDITION TO THE CARBON OLLIE BAND, WE ALSO USE THE TITANIUM POWERBAND AND THE METAL MATRIX IN VARIOUS MODELS IN OUR LINE. WE CREATE FREESTYLE AND FREERIDE SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGY AND CONSTRUCTIONS THAT ENHANCE THE PERFORMANCE OF ALL OUR SKIS.

Liberty Air Core - Liberty Core with the addition of a triaxial fiber wrap to provide impact resistance and durability in park skis. Creates a very light and durable core.'

(all the pro models including the chopper, stealth and reaper have the air core)

I HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU BUT TRIAXIAL FIBERGLASS IS NOT NEW, AND LIBERTY SURE AS HELL DIDN'T INVENT IT. HOWEVER, YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED TO KNOW THAT LINE USES 4D FIBERWRAP IN OUR SKIS GIVING YOU THE ULTIMATE BLEND OF FLEX AND RESPONSIVENESS.

Ok, so base materials are generally the same, however LINE doesnt even mention their base material, so Liberty wins again with a Ptex 3000.

BASE MATERIALS ARE NOT GENERALLY THE SAME.

WE USE THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BASE MATERIALS.

EXTRUDED (1260, MOTHERSHP FLITE)- EASY TO MAINTAIN, GLIDES WELL WITH LITTLE TO NO WAXING

SINTERED 3000 (PRO MODELS, CHRONIC, MOTHERSHIP TI)- MORE POROUS, AND HARDER...PROVIDES A BETTER GLIDE WHEN WAXED

SINTERED 3000 CONDUCTIVE (ASSASSINS)- WITH THE ADDITION OF GRAPHITE TO THE BASE, FRICTION IS REDUCED GIVING THE ULTIMATE GLIDE

Hope this comparison will help anyone trying to make a purchase...

HOPEFULLY THIS MORE ACCURATE COMPARISON WILL HELP YOU MAKE A PURCHASE THAT RIGHT FOR YOU.

IT ALSO MIGHT INTEREST YOU TO KNOW THAT LINE MADE LIBERTY SKIS LAST YEAR AND THAT THE FROSH WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A 1260. ALSO, ALL THREE OF THE LIGHTSPEED SKIS ARE STILL MADE IN OUR FACTORY. THEY ARE OLD DARKSIDES THAT WE DON'T EVEN MAKE ANYMORE BECAUSE THE ASSASSINS ARE MUCH BETTER SKIS THAT WERE DESIGNED LAST YEAR, NOT ALMOST FOUR YEARS AGO.
