Got this image from their website...ski looks fucking huge. Anyone know anything else about it?

This is from the website:

One of our newest projects has been an innovative, progressive powder ski. We created a ski we thought may break open new possibilities for powder skiing. The ski, codename: BFF, became a reality. Recently Liberty team rider David Lesh took the skis out for a test and wrote in with a few comments.

"Hey guys, so I rode those BFF's all day today at Keystone. REALLY SICK! I skied some pow and even some park and hit the jump line and everything. they were scary for the first few runs, but I got used to them after about half the day. You can carve really easy with them, and they ski really well for being so big. I even did some switch carving with them!

At first I thought they would have to remain a joke, but when i got used to them, they were really sick. i think im going to ski them a bunch from now on, especially in the pow. Bring em out on the sled and such....

I got a lot of questions and ghasps from people today, everyone was real stoked on them, great marketing tool for sure!!

talk to you soon, and thanks again for the big sticks!"

They say its progressive...whats new about it other then being super fat?

there was a thread on this earlier i think its something like

240-200-240

ill try to find the link to that thread

yea, but moment does all sorts of crazy shit with camber and size... that's just a really fat ski. Nothing to it, besides it's fat.

I think fat skis are getting a little excessive now. No one honestly needs that must float unless you weight 350lbs.

thats just stupid, you would float completely on top of powder no matter how deep it was...no fun!

what the fuck i dont have a problem with the fatypus alotta with a 140 waist or a line prototype with a 150 waist but that is just fucking overkill

i was with lesh when he got those things. they are seriously wider than having two racing snowboards. i don't know how they could be any fun, but he seemed to be enjoying himself at keystone's park, so more power to him i guess.

After skiing the 189 Hellbents I really see NO need for anything more than that. And the Hellbents are rockered to it makes them float up even more. I would not want anything bigger than the 122 Bents, they're heavy as it is. Cmon it's skiing! You need to be able to do shit, not just army tank over trees and small children in a straight line!

well I have them, I ski them, I love them, i wouldnt go with anything less than a 130 underfoot on a pow day, because anything less I find just isn't enjoyable...so yes, if you are a pow or big mtn skier and love the feeling of floating on top of snow, then yes they are NECESSARY

hmm...I like the feeling of skiing through powder. For example, I don't think something like a steep tree run with waist deep powder would be nearly as fun if you are just floating completely on top of it the whole time.

seriously. how can you perfect your hop style Alta turns when you're just floating. you know the turns i'm talking about. pole plants way out front then pop the wrist like whoa.

eh. i dunno i think this whole fat ski thing is getting a little out of hand as was mentioned above. but hey everyone is different so people can ski whatever fits their needs and wants

I agree...regardless of what you have strapped to your feet, if your having fun thats all that matters.

I was saying its unnessecary in terms of commerically producing them.
