Your right, but my family got to where it is because of down right hardwork from my father. He never needed the government to hold his hand and collect money he didn't earn. As for myself I have the grades to attend law school and work just as hard to make lots of money. But i chose a different path. Explain to me, if it isnt a sense of entitlment that less well of people think they DESERVE money that was made by a hard working wealthy person?

He lucked out that the tech boom happened under his watch so the economy was good, and that the Asian finacial crisis occured keeping oil prices down. He took credit for the good economy, but I challange you... can you find just one policy he put in place that would have had any signifigant effect on the economy at all? (Other then the ones the republicans forced his to go along with). Also, the cold war ended so there really want much going on pressing on the international front.His whole time he ruled in the back seat while congress drove. After his failed healthcare reforms, the republican congress is what had control, as his party lost seats in every election following durring his two terms except one. What is he known for? NAFTA, balanced budget, welfare reform... these were all the republican platform issues of the 1994 and 96 elections (Look up Contract with America). He ignored the first world trade center bombing, the embassy bombings in Africa, he let Bin Laden go in Sudan because he didnt want to spend any political capital, he ignored the USS cole attack, and allowed sudam to kick the weapons inspectors out and he did nothing about it until he launched a couple of cruise missles, al-la Wag the Dog, convieniently the same day the blue dress came out. Via Madaline Albright, he gave North Korea nuclear materials as part of an aide packege because he trusted they would use it for electricity.Then theres the impeachment. Yes the republicans went after him for political reasons, but he still lied to a grand jury... thats called purgery and it would end any of us in jail. He did get disbarred for that.I suppose he wasnt that bad of a president because he didnt royally screw up things... too much, but that was because he was too busy royally screwing around. Then on his way out, he pardoned all of his crony buddies.If the economy wasnt good at the time, no one would like him. I would also remind you that he is the only two term president ever to NOT get a majority of the popular vote in either election.

I want to serve my country, but i went to University of Utah for a year, played lacrosse at some shitty school in NY for a semester, and went to a community college near my house for a year. I got accepted into University of Tennessee's Political Science and Pre Law program but I decided to serve instead.

I respect your decision to serve but there is a point where I get fed up when students are not taught in a political science course of the imperialistic ways of our government.
 
Statistic doesn't make sense. You can't see how many people threw out the census, when they dont complete the census. You would have to have a polling center that polled 2 million people about if "they were hipster and threw away the census."
 
I just read it in the newspaper how 2 million hipsters in NYC didn't take their census, i think they were pretty open about throwing them out as well. And if they had NY would have received another 2 billion in state aid. and NYs economy is the worst in the country, or one of the worst. And this whole thread was a joke btw.

being wealthy in america requires someone else being poor, if you're going to be a republican and earn a wage above the poverty line and bitch about liberals, then you should at least understand that the conservative system in america creates poverty. this therefore creates "leeching liberals" who can't make enough money to survive without welfare because a bunch of greedy fucking republicans make more money than they need and refuse to share it with their fellow citizens. there isn't enough money in america (well actually there's none now) to sustain a fully republican system where everyone is wealthy, has a job, and can support republican policies. you should be happy there are liberals out there who have to suffer so that you can live your life with a sense of entitlement and entertain yourself by picking on people less fortunate than you. just wait until the world's largest army gets sick of you not paying back history's largest debt and fucks you in the ass while you're weary and depleted troops are busy fighting in another country against an enemy they cannot beat. it won't be the poor people they'll ask for their money from, it'll be every wealthy republican in america who thought they could go on buying iPads and eating $8 hamburgers when they owed the rest of the world more money than they could pay back in at least 5 centuries.
 
If you think the wars we are in now are not winnable, then what do you think would happen when a chinese boot touches our soil. Not only will most citizens shoot back, but also our allies.

your getting into a frighteningly dark mentality here. the wars we are in now are overly wasteful because we are supposed to "change the hearts and minds" of the citizens, which isn't very easy when we're bombing them. we hate the taliban and al qaeda, but the truth is american military action has killed many more afghani civilians than we lost on 9/11.

AND the thought of china getting so mad at us (possibly for defaulting on our loans) that they used military action would mean the end of millions of citizens. we are both nuclear equipped countries, with allies, and a war between us would be devastating. we should be focusing on our economy and security, not those of other nations.
 
any foreign army below the mason dixon will not be able to occupy. Let along the amount of troops that are still home and would be more motivated than any fighting force our country has seen at the thought of our country being invaded.
 
the whole idea of China starting a war was just a fantasy and was beside the point i was making. nobody (except America) wants to invade a country full of poor people anyways, you'd have to find a way to boost the economy and pay for all of those citizens once you'd taken over, unless you wanted them to really hate you (like every country America has invaded).

i was really just saying that you live in America and one thing an American has to face regardless of their political viewpoint is another Americans political viewpoint. so get over Liberals because without Republicans there probably wouldn't be any Liberals anyways.

 
That's the thing though. Our country is too focused on war. What if instead of all of these people enlisting in the army they were putting there minds to work trying to figure out how to keep a stable economy, or how to keep self sustainable government funding. How are we supposed to solve anything within our own country by going off and killing civilians of other countries. People need to focus less on war and more on our home land.
