well im looking into gettin some new planks and so far i have my mind set on these http://www.lib-tech.com/nas/jib/ i coul not find much information on them on ns but id like to know what others think of them, not to keen on the graphics buy they sound pretty dope for icey conditions

The only thing wrong with Lib Tech is that the top sheets chip and peel real fast, I saw some guy with the top sheet peeling right off at the tip, and my buddy had a pair that chipped really quickly, but the technology is cool

i had a pair! first year they were out, so maybe 4 seasons ago? they were really fun but magnitraction (sp?) is not functional for skiers. i really dont recommend them to anyone who plans on doing a lot of sliding.

i rode a pair all last season, the magnetraction wroks. they didnt ever catch on rails for me. pretty stiff. topsheets peeeeel fast.

lots of miss info in this thread. alot of top sheets chip around the edges and alot of that is the rider fault from banging there skis together constantly in the park. but ya lib tech seems to have a small problem more on the topsheet they used on there snowboards. seen those peel the skis just seem to chip around the edges. you will not notice the magna traction on rails period and one saying they do is insane. you will notice though on groomers as they rail turns even with your edges detuned to shit for rails which is the ultimate advantage to have libtechs for park. i have the 178 free rides and they are the nicest pair of skis i have ever ridden. they make four skis that would honestly be the perfect quiver, pipe, jib, freeride, pow. my neighbor who has both freerides and pows and loves them also. everyone i have talked to in tahoe that has some libs has nothing but good things to say. the only downside is the price, but they are quality skis made in the US by the coolest company in the game LIBTECH. Ow and they make a mono board.

i have a lib board, their graphics is definatly really nice. all their stuff dont have metal edges that go all the way around tho, they only have them on the sides. and they do chip a little easier. lib is a rad company nevertheless

I have been riding some 176's for 3 years
Truth about the delamination and chipping on the top sheet at least with mine
Warrantied them twice no problem/ free shipping

Really fun skis, well made (besides top sheet) Can go anywhere and preform (park, big mountain, jib)But not really dedicated feeling in any
Still if you can get a good price, pull the trigger IMHO

I've never ridden the Jibs but I got a chance to demo the NAS Pows this winter at Beaver Creek and Vail and they were fucking sick. Floated in the fresh and carved fucking trenches on the groomers. Completely awesome skis, in my opinion. If the rest of the Lib Tech skis are as awesome as their pow skis, I would recommend them in a second. I realize this is kind of unrelated since it's about a pow ski but I've had a few drinks so give me a break.

Every single person at mt baker pro patrol has the pow nas. I know they make a sick powder ski but I'm not 100% sure about their park skis. Im sure they carve nice though and with some filing will be fine on rails.

the skis sound sick and after reading all of these reviews they sound even better.

a few of my snowboarder friends who have the magnatraction on their boards say the only problem is that if you happen to blow out an edge it is impossible to replace because of the wavy shape.
